Universal Home Video has announced 1-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD, and 2-disc Blu-ray releases of Get Him to the Greek for September 28th. Each will include an unrated cut of the movie, plus the version of the film originally shown in theaters. Extras on the 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray include a commentary with director Nicholas Stoller, cast members Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Elisabeth Moss and producer Rodney Rothman, 3 documentaries ("Getting To Get Him to The Greek", "Getting In Tune With The Greek", "The Making Of “African Child"), 5 Music Videos featuring Aldous Snow, Infant Sorrow and Jackie Q, Deleted, Extended and Alternate Scenes including an Alternate Intro and Ending, Musical Performances from Infant Sorrow’s triumphant 1999 Greek Theater Concert and 2009 Comeback Concert, a gag reel, and a digital copy of the film. The Blu-ray release will also include additional extended scenes, Musical performances from The Today Show and VH-1 Storytellers, and a Karaoke feature.

I don't usually buy comedies, but I was in tears of laughter when I saw it in theaters. I'll be picking this up when it's released.

FSM is basically my favorite comedy, so I'm biased, I guess.

Saw this movie last night. This movie is awful, just plain AWFUL. I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but hated this one. This is about as bad as Observe and Report.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there's no need to be rude towards someone about movies they do or do not like.

mywhitenoise and I have pretty similar interests in movies/shows, and some I don't personally like. Some people love FSM but thought GHTTG was better and so on. There's really no say whether or not someone will like this movie just because they liked FSM.

My only problem with the movie itself is Diddy being in it, I don't like him. But at the same time I could probably get over that.

hoping this might be like a 9.99 Black Friday BB special or a BB Deal of the Day type of thing as I have not seen it yet and don't have enough cash this week with Iron Man 2 and Superman/Batman Apocalypse coming out

I'd like this, but I wouldn't want to pay over $20 for it when it comes out. I might wait til that price goes down a wee bit.

I am REALLY surprised this received a 4.5/5 for it's Movie review on here. It's bad enough that it has a 73% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and even a 65/100 on metacritic seems too high. Comedy has really lowered it's standards.

"To be fair, though, this is an exceptionally intelligent film, especially considering its potty-mouthed, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll obsessed ethos."

Guess im use to action movies getting a 5 for audio and video.

I concur. Perhaps the video is highly rated because of the 1:85 aspect ratio?

I'm been looking at this since it was in theaters but never saw it. I'd buy it if the price was right.

Looking forward to this one as I missed it when it was in the theater. Like both of the lead roles (Brand and Hill).

There's more screen information in 1.85:1 blu-rays, but that doesn't equal a better PQ.
