Troll 2
The Room (2003) The Wicker Man remake (it's debatable whether or not it was intentional) The Star Wars prequels (especially Revenge of the Sith) Showgirls and Starship Troopers (again, both are debatable) Last edited by Drewza89; 06-23-2012 at 07:43 PM. |

Rampage definitely did not seem like a comedy. Probably the only movie of his that I've seen and liked.
Most of the Syfy channels movies over the past several years come off as comedies cause they're so bad. Mega Piranha made me laugh quite a few times. |

After Platoon. Before JFK.
The excessive ending was my only quibble with the Spectacular BOTFOJ. I admit I laughed at the B.S. Ending of Any Given Sunday. He spent the whole film detailing how empty the game is then Al Pacino and Jaimee Foxx have some meaningful stares and talk about how wonderful the game is. Atleast pre1995 Oliver Stone had balls. |

The Happening
Deadfall - Seriously, this film is over the top. You have Nicolas Cage giving possibly his most over-the-top performance ever (and I have seen them all). You have Charlie Sheen wearing a Hugh Hefner red smoking jacket, and going on a five-minute monologue about Mark Twain and some pretentious stuff while playing snookers. You have James Coburn at one point saying, "So, Joe, how does it go?" and chuckling as if this one rhyme is a great joke. You have Michael Biehn giving incredibly awkward and bizarre narration on-and-off throughout the whole thing. And you have no less an actor than the great Angus Scrimm as a Bond-villain-esque diamond-lover with a pincer instead of hand and a lair with girls and cats in it. G-Men From Hell - another film from Christopher Coppola (so is Deadfall), who is Nic Cage's brother. This one has William Forsythe, and the title alone should tell you how great this. The Fat Spy - if 50s and 60s beach comedies weren't campy enough for you, then why not watch this parody of the genre? Also amusing is that one the box of my copy, there is a literally an essay on the back. The amount of words on the back (some of which lie about the film - for instance, there is one scene in the film where someone is seen smoking a cigarette, for literally a total of about two seconds, and the back on the box advertises "incessant smoking") is probably greater than the amount of dialogue in the film. Honestly, if I ever get my video review show off the ground, this will be Episode #1. I love this kind of thing, but I am busy now, but I am sure I will be back later. |
