I really like all the new artwork on 88's upcoming releases. Makes buying yet another copy more worthwhile.

With the Grindhouse Releasing package out there, this UHD is about as pointless as it gets.
agree mate

I wonder if Grindhouse still have it

Sure do, and it's currently on sale for $29.99

Don't let the "Only 13 left!" bit fool you, though. They've been restocking this thing for years.

I'd take anything written on Amazon with a grain of salt, if I were you. Especially when it comes to this stuff.

Also, this is basically the opposite of the Cannibal Holocaust situation. It seems odd for 88 Films to release this on BD when Blue Underground's 4K release is readily available and we know for a fact that that one is 100% intact and uncut.

Vigilante and Maniac are all well and good, but they got US 4K releases from Blue Underground a couple of years ago, yet 88 are only releasing regular Blus. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

If that doesn't work out, you can try any one of these, or you could check Ebay. If not, I am sure there are people here who'd be happy to forward you a copy.

I don't see any resubmission at the BBFC for it's uncut status.

I am glad to see that the slasher range is still going strong though.

It would be case by case for me. I will always go for the most complete edition as possible when buying a movie for the first time. If I already own the movie, I will only buy a new edition if there's something I want in it AND I sell the the previous edition I have.

Things that I will want in a new edition is usually : 1) Noticeably better PQ and 2) Multiple cuts. About cuts though, some of them, I don't care for. Like the extended Re-Animator from the ltd Arrow boxset. I thought that some stuff from that cut was dumb and didn't work. I wouldn't have gone out of my way to have it, if I had already owned a suitable blu ray of the movie. But on the other hand, I think it's amazing to have hybrid cuts like there is for the ltd edition of Eureka's "Millionaire Express" and the upcoming "Righting Wrongs". If I had any previous releases of these movies, I would definitely be selling them to get these new ones.

If I'm not mistaken, 88 said the range would be ending, but that they were waiting for the right title to go out with a bang. Presumably Maniac is that title.

Shame. I still had hopes for My Bloody Valentine.

I was hoping since 88 Films would be releasing films in the states that they would release the Van Damme movies they have the rights to but I guess that’s never going to happen.

Amazes me that My Bloody Valentine still hasn't had a Blu-ray release in the UK. It had a theatrical re-release in February, but apparently it wasn't the uncut version so I didn't bother.

I see Maniac is a popular choice, but I was kinda hoping for UHDs of Maniac Cop 2 and 3.

The Blue Underground editions are TFE (too f**king expensive).

Who's the artist for all the recent 88 Films newly commissioned artwork, particularly the Tiger Cage box set, Righting Wrongs, Super Cop, Magnificent Warriors, and The Iceman Cometh? Fantastic work. They don't look like they were drawn by the same person.

Sean Longmore. I really like his artstyle, I just wish that not every single one of them was this hyper-busy "Arrange the entire cast of the movie on the cover in different sizes" thing, it would be great to mix it up in a while and be a bit more creative.
