Just get them when you're buying things in a sale on the Vinegar Syndrome site.

That was my first thought. I already have the 4K BU of Vigilante (Excellent Movie) for there UK premier they should really be putting them out on 4k UHD.

It is! You would have thought Eureka or Arrow would have licensed this from Paramount by now and same for Halloween II and III someone needs to give these UK BD/4K releases.

Thanks.
Is it a case that lots of these films that we think are really nasty and bound to be cut are not really that terrible compared to lots of recent movies?

With the Grindhouse Releasing package out there, this UHD is about as pointless as it gets.
It was cut by 15 seconds for the Shameless release so I assume the SAME 15 secs will remain CUT.

Apparently there’s only 4 seconds of actual cuts, the other 11 are substitutions to smooth/hide the 4 seconds of cuts

They still completely banned Gestapo's Last Orgy and Love Camp 7 though.
They obviously have it in for the Nazis

Is the Cannibal Holocaust release going to be part of the Italian collection? It doesn't mention it on the cover art like most of the others.

I just looked and noticed the rigid boxes don't say it on the front but all the standard releases do. But at least on Amazon, The Blu-ray is listed at £20 which is cheaper than the rigid case and booklet releases.

It might sound stupid but the reason I ask is I have the shameless blu of CH, which is fine for me as I can miss the animal cruelty and I'm not that big of a fan of it to upgrade, even to the 4k.....But... I have every Italian Collection release so far and if it's part of it I don't know if I'll be able to cope with having the gap in the collection

If your horror "education" was 00s and 10s Asian and French extreme cinema, and "torture porn" (Saw, Hostel, etc etc), then I can't think of a single cat3 film that will seem anything other than a little bit tame and silly. What will be the most shocking thing about any of them these days is the treatment of women (I think I'm right in saying that every single cat3 film - even those that aren't horror or exploitation [there are a few serious thrillers/action films in the list] - includes a sexualised rape), so how you receive them now more depends on how sensitive you are to that sort of stuff when it's presented in a film (and, I guess, how "woke" you are) rather than whether you're going to worry about body parts being thrown around and guts spilling out (although the sexualised rape stuff has always been the main issue from the BBFC's POV of course).

I've not seen Love Camp 7, but banning GLO still bewilders me when Salo has long had the full okay. But that's BBFC hypocrisy again - Salo is Pasolini and therefore art, whilst GLO is just a cheap exploitaion film. But have you actually watched Salo recently, and then GLO straight after? Honestly, there's practically zero difference between the two in terms of tone, style, acting, subject matter, themes etc etc. And, in fact, I would argue that Salo is the far more graphic of the two. "THAT" scene in GLO is...well, you don't really see anything, it's all just in the dialogue.

Not that I'm saying GLO is some masterpiece - it's not, it's objectively a poor film. But then so is Salo if we're REALLY honest...

Nice to see Ladies Who Do, getting a release. Hopefully we get some more British movies.
I would love to see Golden Rendezvous on Blu ray.

Criterion should have released Gestapo's Last Orgy and it would have flown through with flying colours.

And you can check out Love Camp on YouTube. It is so inept that it is even more perplexing that the BBFC banned it.

I know you've said that with tongue in cheek, and it did make me smile, but I have genuinely wondered several times over the years whether the BBFC do indeed occasionally look at Criterion for an acknowledgement of assumed quality. As we know full well, BBFC examiners have typically never been film lovers or aficionados and they've always been employed based on proof of their objectivity and whether they have any professional experience in certain fields (psychology/psychiatry, education, child care, government policy, etc etc), rather than having any knowledge of film (wasn't it Carol Topolski who didn't even own a TV?).

I might check out Love Camp 7 at some point, if only to tick a box.

Ebola Syndrome is a definite double dip if it has a lot of unique extras, especially new commentaries.

You ONLY pay shipping ONCE when there's a sale on assuming you use the add to existing order for multiple orders during a sale. That's what I mostly do albeit I did buy the OOP Vinegar Syndrome Pulse release of a Franco film after it had become available to order (sold out in about 3 hours from being available), for the extras, despite the fact I'll also be getting the Pulse Lahaie BD thing from a book campaign thing.
