United Kingdom Curse of Chucky (2013) - October 21st, 2013

The 'good guy' makes a return on Blu-ray this Halloween. No specs or artwork yet, but expect it to be a BD + UV combo pack. More details forthcoming, but the following special features have been approved by the BBFC.

Hope this is better than Seed.

I enjoyed the hell out of Seed, though I enjoyed all the movies.

Not sure if I'll pre-order it (I may do nearer the time of release), but I'll definitely be getting it.

I also hope Universal manage to release atleast Child's Play 2 and 3 on Blu-ray over here.

And if they can secure the UK rights for it, Bride of Chucky would be good too Wasn't a big fan of Seed of Chucky though.

I like that it's going straight to Blu-ray/DVD. You buy it, can watch it as many times as you want and it is forever in your collection. I hate it when I really like a movie in theaters and have to wait another 4 or 5 months for the Blu-ray to come out. Only then to pay for the same film again!

I remember the pain of waiting for From Dusk Till Dawn to hit sell-through VHS.

Dark, dark times...

The boxset is a US-exclusive. Why not import it? It's region free.

The rights are a bit more problematic in the UK though.

All but the first one are Universal in the US, so just one to sort out.

Here it's MGM, Universal, Universal, In2film, Metrodome and Universal across the 6 movies.

Ordered as soon as I saw this on Sainsburys. They've been getting my preorders to me on release day.
Love the first three only and this looks great and ditches the shameful story of a doll having a mrs and offspring, cause that aside it's a perfectly realistic tale
Have no.1 from US. Will buy 2&3 ASAP which look possible as the US getting a set with individual discs. Don't want 4&5 or pay $60+

I was planing on ordering on amazon.com and pay for the global shipping thing. Does DVDWorldUSA work out more than that? There mght not be much in it - but never ordered from DVDWorld Also never used the Global shipping thing on Amazon either - damn all of these US-only horror boxsets coming out

EDIT: Your post got me thinking and I just looked into this. Compared prices and went with Amazon for this and F13th box. £129.47 all in compared to £163 from DVDWorldUSA. As you say - I was tempted to get the advanced option on both of these for an extra 30 quid but decided to save a little (I'll probably regret this!)

I not interested in F13 unless first one and JGTH are uncut,

With expedited shipping it works out £3 cheaper then DWUSA but you get it week after release but with DWUSA they always ship early. At least a week early.
