Just surprised the packaging looks so blah.
I guess it depends though. A lot of the movies I own that come with booklets I had never seen before Blu-Ray, so to me the information is all new and interesting.

I think the steelbooks and actor sets with DC will be the ones to get. I do expect Amazon to drop that price on the full set.

When will the steelbooks be available for pre-order? Gotta admit, I LOVE the artwork.

As much as I like the 50th anniversary set, nothing compares to seeing all the individual films' spines in a row on your shelf. These steelbooks, once the whole set is complete, will look amazing! Can't wait to get them all.

They should be up soon, but keep in mind, these will likely be the only ones released. They're only doing the ones that have ties to the Spectre Organization.

Aww, that's disappointing. Would love to have a whole set of steelbooks based on the opening title sequences. Oh well.

I'm cool with the Bond 50 set and buying them individually from "SPECTRE" and forward.

Gah! That's how they get you! Was really disappointed the documentary wasn't included on the Bond 50 set.

Caresses his Bond 50 set while laughing maniacally.

Will not double dip.

No way would I double dip on this. I got all the movies as single releases. I really like how they look on my shelf. I ended up paying around $130 Bucks for all of them.

Right!? Even if they didn't want to include them in the set you'd think they would re-release them too individually?

By the by, here's the press release (seems we are getting new material after all!):

I plan on being around for the Bond 100 box set so I will wait for that one to double dip.

What are the chances that Amazon will drop the price a good amount before it comes out? Kinda like the Batman set I am hoping.

Sticking with my Bond 50 set. Those steelbooks are cool, though. Too bad they're only putting them out for some of the Bond movies. Here's hoping we get a SPECTRE steelbook down the road as well.

So am I to understand that the new features they refer to are only found on the bonus disc in the new box set? I think I mistakenly believed that each individual release had new features, but now I don't think so.

I really like this packaging, and I have been somewhat ironically hoping that the Bond set would be part of Prime Day. Have they ever done a pre-order as a lightning deal? I figure the price will drop regardless before release, but kind of hoping against hope.

Don't forget, even though this new set has a spot FOR Spectre, there will almost certainly be a re-release of the same set next year WITH Spectre... so purchase accordingly.
