Promised myself I'd avoid as the originals are so classic it's a shame Hollywood can't think up a new idea.

But, I've had a crush on Christina Applegate since I was about 11 so I will buy this, maybe in a sale though

Trailer looked hilarious, but after all the bad reviews when the movie came out, didn't go see it. But, will give it a spin on disc.

I saw on another site that the bluray release for Vacation is 11/3 and that Man from U.N.C.L.E. is 11/17. Wonder if they will be on sale on Black Friday.

If Christina Applegate is the only justification you have for wanting to get this, skip it for now and grab the DVDs of Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead or Married With Children instead. Being two of her biggest roles from the 90's, I'm a little surprised that you don't have either of them in your collection already.

Have Don't Tell Mom.. I haven't bothered putting all dvd titles in as some don't exist on here. I enjoyed MWC at the time and they're free on Amazon prime so no need to own

Being a huge fan of the originals I broke down and took my Dad to see this for his birthday at the local $2 theater and I have to say I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. There were several laugh-out-loud moments (that were not in the trailer ), and I was entertained the whole time. Maybe not purchase worthy, but definitely worth checking out...

I didn't think it was bad at all. There were a couple of bits that missed the mark for me (it's rare that a comedy scores 100% of it's attempts anyway) and it was sad that not one of Chevy Chase's attempts to be funny hit for me, but overall I thought much of it was decent. It wasn't the original, but it sure wasn't "Vegas Vacation", either.

I agree...I went in thinking the worst and both my GF and I thought it was a riot. It's not your fathers Vacations (though has a few nice touches to connect you to the past movies); it has a nice little edge to it that the originals didn't have and the trailer doesn't tell you about. Some of the best bits were not on the trailer which was refreshing but probably bad for ticket sales. I don't buy comedies much on Blu-ray because I feel they don't have the rewatch value once you know the gags but good movie.

It looked funny via the trailer but then heard the pretty bad review's so i kinda steered clear of it at the movie's but maybe i might give it a look as a rental or really cheap buy though.
