Totally agree !! This movie was just awful. Sure it had a few brief seconds of laughter, but very few. I just can't even begin to explain how poor this movie was. I would rent it first if you have any sort of feeling towards buying it.

I watched this in the theater when it came out. It wasn't great, but it had its moments. I don't really feel like I'd want to see it a second time, though.

This movie was severely disappointing entry to the vacation series.
While I wish I could say it was hilarious throughout, the only scene I liked was with Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann. I hope they do make a sequel but with new writers and Chevy Chase back in the spot light even though he's a little too old now... Reunion Vacation?

Rented this tonight and the wife and I really enjoyed it! What a terrible, dumb, and overall stupid movie... but we laughed our asses off several times!

Don't get me wrong, the plot's shallow, and this is really not on-par with any of the previous Vacation movies. We all find laughter in different places. I understand why this movie got some bad reviews but we thought it was hilarious.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel this was intended for a 3D conversion at some point?

Not only does it open with the flying "break-apart" WB logo, but there are several little moments that look intended for 3D gags.

Movie stunk. Holiday Road in the beginning was nice. I also like the Norman Reedus cameo...

Bummer that this movie was not a part of any of the black friday deals. I really wanted to buy this.

Doesn't every WB/New Line Cinema picture open with that logo? I never heard about a 3D conversion for the film, nor did I see anything that would particularly utilise the effect.

My husband and I rented this on our Apple TV over the weekend and we both thought it was hilarious, with some genuine laugh out loud moments.

Nah man I liked it too... my GF and I thought it was a riot. To be honest I thought this had far more laugh out loud moments than the original vacation movies. They didn't advertise it right...the stuff they show in the trailer are not the funniest scenes in the movie. The river guide scene and the sorority beer gag were great...the kid and the plastic bag over the head thing at the fight at the end had me laughing. It was a nice family coming together moment.

I rented it from Netflix and I have to say this may be the worst movie of the year. I loved the original and saw it in the movies when it first came out years ago so we were looking forward to the remake. Unfortunately what we got was just awful and I couldn't get to the mail box fast enough to send it back.
