Bummer that the US release is just a BD-R.

I knew this would happen the moment I saw FilmRise's logo in the trailer. What a waste.

This movie is completely outrageous, and so funny. If it comes out on a BD-R only here, I'll gladly import from elsewhere.

The UK release apparently has a commentary, too -- looks like the domestic BD-R is barebones.

Most people will find this movie weird, disgusting, offensive, and cruel... and it is. But it's also pretty damn funny at times. If Napolean Dynamite was weirder and rated X you'd have something sort of like this.

I was going to import it but I think I've seen enough penis for a few months. I can see why it's only getting a BD-R release in the US but it's destined to become a cult classic for sure.

The UK edition is a pressed disc, it has a commentary track, it's region free, and it's cheaper to import than it is to buy the barebones US BD-R. Total no-brainer.

I never liked NP but I enjoyed this quite a bit. It's like the holy/unholy fusion of John Waters mixed with Tim & Eric. It's certainly the most unique movie I've seen this year.

Australian Blu-ray release tentatively scheduled for early Q2 release...here's a link to an article we published last month that mentions the Blu-ray SKU.

Mainly just posting this really just to advocate how everyone who is interested in owning this should get the UK version. I ordered the American BD-R and immediately decided I was returning it within 2 seconds of seeing the cover art. Most of the time, these MOD releases have professional looking artwork, but this one looked like a straight bootleg.

Everywhere I look to buy the UK version says it's only for region 2, why is all the info for this title confusing. This site is the only one to say it's region free. Can you tell me where you got your copy? Thanks.

I suspect this is going to be a very divisive movie, either you'll love it or hate it. Me, I come down on the hate side - it was trying to hard to be weird and quirky and it just wasn't funny. The only movie I can recall walking out on in a very long time.

(Mind you, I was watching it smack in the middle of the SIFF, was catching it at a midnight show and had a low tolerance for a Meh movie at that time. So it had to bring its A-Game anyway)

Most sites are totally inaccurate when it comes to region coding - they just blindly report Region B for all UK titles to be on the safe side. The UK release is region free, as confirmed by myself and multiple members here, so you can freely order from any site selling it.

Does anyone here know how the UK release compares to the Australian release? I know both are region free but beyond that there a no reviews of the picture quality of the uk disc and no mention here of extras beyond a commentary. The aussie deluxe release was just reviewed here and has really good picture and is loaded with extras. I'm curious how the UK disc stacks up.

Are all the extras on the UK release playable in a NA player, such as a PS3? I was excited to see the 2 Disc Australian release was region free, only to learn most of the extras on the second disc are not playable due to being 50Hz.
