I still think the best solution is to suspend all international travel for a fortnight. Use the IMF to compensate companies.

I think Mulan may be next for a delay. Disney spent a huge wad of cash making it, and planned to get a lot of box office in China. With 70,000 (?) theaters closed until the ‘all clear’ Disney would take a huge gamble releasing in the middle of that closure.

I know some people (too many really) think this pandemic is nothing (I'm not saying you think that), but look at Italy, Spain, and some parts of the U.S. (besides everywhere else). Now Africa is seeing cases pop up. Due to the extreme poverty and lack of quality sanitation and health care in many parts of Africa that could spell calamity, which would make the other countries look like child's play.

My cousin has the virus and is in the hospital, my uncle is quarantined, and my cousin's friend, who passed it along, is dead. It's definitely a real issue, not a hoax, not made up.

A movie's delay will seem like the very least of our worries.

and cases are now popping up in India - which could be catastrophic

is it me or is the title of new James Bond incidental to the pandemic that's happening

This is what happens when a more virulent "bug" hits a global human populace that has no immune system build up to it.

The genetics of the virus show that it may diminish for a few months in certain parts of the world, and when everyone is off their guard... whammo!! Just like the Spanish Flu.

And with any virus, it can mutate and stick around.

I hope not because we were totally unprepared and slow to respond as it stands.

Locks up once you start to go three oages into the magazine, looks like just a lure to subscribe. Either that or the studio asked them to kill it (can't believe they got an interview that early either, I was still just in the queue for cinematography, vfx and editor stories on this one when the plague hit, and I started emailing the DP and talking with PR around first of the year about this one.)

Works fine for me. But it's easier to just download the issue to read it.

*sigh* I hate that I won’t safely be able to go to a theater again until at least the middle of next year. Well, unless our Orange in Chief stays in office, in which case theaters really will die.

Don't worry about it. New films are rubbish anyway

That new poster is as bland as the last several that have been released since Skyfall. Hopefully the new trailer on Thursday sells me better on the film than the last couple (10 second teaser inbound tomorrow, too).

I Love my Home Theater Best with my 75 inch Sony 4K TV ! : ) ... But I own the 4 films he made in 4K and Bluray ! I hope the other Bond films get released in 4K UHD Very soon.

Theaters are open again here, but there's no way that I'm going to set foot in one of those death boxes right now.

No Time to Die may or may not be my first theater visit, but I'm betting that November 20 will still be too soon here in Georgia, where I'm the only person in the state who is taking this pandemic seriously. I'm actually volunteering for a COVID-19 vaccine trial, and I'm receiving my second injection tomorrow morning, but it's an observer-blind research study for Pfizer, and I do not know if I'm one of the 50% getting the actual vaccine or the 50% getting the control placebo.

At any rate, the 4K UHD Blu-ray is a given for my collection.

That's the one that really gets to me. I adore Denis Villeneuve and who knows how many films we will get out of the man. Kills me that I (very likely) won't be able to see it in theaters.
