Not a dealbreaker for a feature of this nature, but I did wonder for those who have seen it on other platforms if this is something with the original master, or if it happened when the 5.1 was done for disc?

I didn’t notice anything but I think the film cost only $200,000 to make. So I’m cool with whatever. Hell of a funny and enjoyable movie.

Again, I'm talking about the sounds, not the dialogue which is clear on both.

Happily, for the filmmakers, this is not a production fault, it's something that is not on the stream but is on the disc. So the film itself is fine.

Is anyone able to check these moments after the coffee spill on the Utopia Blu-ray to see which it sounds like on the sample here - the flanged (BD) or the clean (stream)?

I just received my UK blu-ray, yeah the flanged sound is a bit annoying.Might rip my blu-ray and mux it with a different audio source. Is the US release also like this ?

The store i regularly purchase from had one limited edition version left in stock, so i scooped it up. Just read the additional contents (Poster, commentary track etc ) seems cool.

For those interested it seems the Vinegar Syndrome/ Utopia release of Shiva baby is region free and not just Region A as it worked on my panasonic UB150

I would stick with the original VS Blu-ray. The MUBI Blu-ray is worse in every way in terms of picture quality despite being a BD50 with considerably higher bitrate.
