Default Robert Altman films in 4K?

Does anyone know if any Robert Altman films will ever get a 4K release?

I would love to see Nashville, MASH, and all his others released.

I could see Criterion doing Altman UHDs if they were to make the jump. “Nashville” could use a remaster. The existing master is serviceable but not nearly the level as some of Paramount’s remasters from around that time (“Medium Cool” and “Seconds” to name a few).

Doubtful, unless, as Dailyan says, boutique labels jump on the UHD wagon. You'll notice that very few of Altman's movies have received even 1080p blu-ray releases from the studios. Most have been licensed to companies like Criterion, Arrow, Eureka etc. That's a pretty good indication of how much the larger studios care about them.

Shame, 'cause i'd basically love every Altman movie on UHD.

A new 4k restoration of Nashville played earlier this year

Yeah, all depends on if labels jump in, which... who knows.
