Either that or they're really trying to stick it to ScarJo

I’m sure stock will be replenished soon enough. Black Widow is pretty much a guaranteed sale for the retailers.

Assuming it's in-stock, Sunrise Records has it for $149.97.

Where were all these deals when I bit the bullet and bought this set back in June?

I bought the set on release day last year at Sunrise for the same price ($149.97).

Sweet!

I imagine I checked around before buying it back in June, and I'm pretty sure Sunrise's price wasn't that low at the time, but maybe I'm just an idiot.
Joking aside, even though I over-paid for it, I'm still glad to have it before it eventfully goes OOP like the Halloween boxset.

It is a great set. Even though I am a bigger fan of the Halloween franchise, I think SF did a better job on the Friday the 13th set. Everything from the movie transfers to the special features to the artwork was exceptional. My only nitpick was with the lack of new special features for Freddy vs Jason.

I thought that earlier this year but DMC has been releasing exclusives every month since July now. More older stuff too and more to come in November.
If they were ditching physical media, wouldn't they have abandoned the DMC exclusives?

Disney’s stopped making Blu-Rays in India. I only know this because India was one of the longest supporters of 3D but no longer as even standard Blu-Ray’a aren’t being made. I think DMC makes sense because they sell direct and get the markup, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they start phasing it out of stores

I think it is more just a problem with distribution due to the pandemic. It is affecting many industries. Try getting parts for machinery, like circuit breakers. Impossible

Yep, and the chip shortage is not helping either. The fact that most of the trucks and vehicles that are responsible for shipping products are now reliant on chips for repairs and the lack of having new and replacement vehicles to introduce into their fleets.

Also, found this too: https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/23/busin...ing/index.html

Stopped at Walmart to check what's new it on sale. Mulan (live action) and Mulan 2 pack (live action and animated) along with Onward, 101 Dalmatians and Frozen 2 Blu-rays are all $14.96 (yes the 2 pack and the lone Mulan film are the same price).

ZS Justice League is $24.96 with an empty spot for the 4K at $29.96. No trilogy.

Saw lots of Black Widow: 4K at $32.96 and tonnes of Blus at $24.96 (I think I found where all the Calgary copies went: they're in Edmonton).

Those Who Wish Me Dead is $19.88, which makes me think it will be $10-15 in a couple more months. Wrath of Man is $15 which is great considering no one else seems to be carrying it, except Amazon's $37 copy (wtf Amazon).

Stopped at one Walmart this morning, looking for the $8 Ghostbusters double feature but no luck. I'll need to try some other locations.

^ The GB 1+2 BD was only out at a lone WM here. 4 WMs so far either were not stocked yet or hadn't changed over from the Summer display.

Also a BOLO for ZS JL 4K... my first disk is defective at around the 53 min mark and checking the 4K thread here it looks like I'm not the only one. Will need to swap it at WM and hope for the best.

In the flyer for Alberta this week... I think that F9 is a DVD but $19.88 for a blu-ray double feature of Cruella and Dalmatians seems like a good deal with a digital code included.

^ Got the same flyer as I am in AB and if it's too good to be true with WM, it probably is... I would expect a correction notice if this is the wrong price. $35 everywhere else?

I believe the F9 price is the DVD only. But the Cruella + 101 Dalmatians 2-Movie set is a great deal if they honor it. Bring the flyer with you for support.

Yup but I think Best Buy would price match if you bring the paper copy since it is printed and pictured.

Someone should try to SCOP that if it rings up incorrectly. I doubt they'll be stickered.
