I wouldn't worry about subs, I imagine all the 3D versions will be the same.
That's good to know, didn't think of rechecking the OP. Appreciate you keeping it updated.

So, looks like no affordable Region A options so far...

This is sad.

British, Italian and German versions all listed as B region. Based on past experiences this will hopefully change to all region when released since it is marvel.

Marvel has nothing to do with this release. This is a SONY production, who also don't region lock. Every release of this will be region free.

Also Marvel studios productions aren't region free because they're Marvel, they're region free because they're Disney releases.

I've never ordered a German Blu-ray before. Are all the menus in German?

I doubt it on this release but you never know. As there is no equivalent US disc perhaps.

Where do you find a listing for a British release?

Joe could be talking about the UK standard blu ray but there is no UK 3D blu ray.

It's Sony. Sony discs are region free. I don't know of any exceptions.

There is now a new listing on Amazon Spain for a regular 3D+2D Blu-ray combo (not the sold out steelbook) for €25.99, with the earliest release date of all versions: 25 January:
https://www.amazon.es/Venom-BD3D-BD-Blu-ray/dp/B07KLS2XP3/ref=sr_1_5?s=blu-ray&ie=UTF8&qid=1544640268&sr=1-5&refinements=p_n_binding_browse-bin%3A2154914031%2Cp_n_date%3A831287031

It's not obvious from this incomplete listing that it's the 3D verion, but if you scroll down to product details, it's 3D and it shows up in the search results as 3D+2D.

I thought this too but someone in the UHD thread for venom just said the US blu ray is region locked to A. Seems surprising considering Sony's track record.

The Spanish listing is Región Libre so if the 3D versions are region free I'd be surprised if the 2D discs were region locked. But we shall see.

The region coding on the US 2D Blu-ray is of no consequence in any case.

Yes it seemed odd but that's what they said.
