I loved Natty Gann---thought it was a truly excellent film, and beautifully produced. It's criminal the way Disney has ignored that picture over the years.

Wish I'd known about the lack of slipcovers on the new releases before placing my order. I could have waited.

If someone is willing to spend $50 or $100, that's on the buyer. Nobody is forcing them to purchase anything at that price -- they're making the decision. Some might call it dumb, some might call it impulsive, some might feel they're getting ripped off, but whatever. It's their call. And maybe someone with enough disposable income feels it's worth it. Who's to tell them it's not?

At the same time, it's the seller's right to sell it if that's what it's going to go for. Anyone in business will try and get the best deal they can if the market is willing. It's the same thing those of us who wait for sales and such do on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Let's not let this thread degenerate into another scalper debate.

So who has a dmc account and is willing to place an order for fellow forum members? Will they let you buy multiple copies?

I am a DMC member and I added three copies to my cart, which is the most the DMC will let you add of the same item. Total came out to a little under $90.00 with tax and shipping ($89.14 to be exact).

Unfortunately, it seems that my current offer of 50% any film after buying one at full price does not count when you are buying multiple copies of the same movie.

While I think $50 is a bit much to be re-selling these on eBay I can see why a DMC member would sell them for more than $30 if they are buying them straight out and not as a part of their enrollment.

Also, total for me ordering one copy with tax and shipping is $31.50 F.Y.I.

Finally, I understand enrollment prices are a whole 'nother conversation.

3 of any of the same title/ same format gets you flagged in DMC's system as suspicious behavior and possible resellers and can get that person banned from joining again
(3 as in total history purchases; not at just one singular time).

I doubt anyone on here who's a DMC member would be willing to order more than that, and get their account flagged for it.

Yeah you're right, anything after 3 is what I meant my bad.

I've been keeping on eye out on this movie for many years. Glad it's finally made it's way to blu-ray.

My question is this (sorry if this has been asked and answered). If I join DMC after it's officially released on the 14th, would i be able to get it as part of my free 4-5 titles. Since it's 24.95 it wont count as fulfillment and I'd only be joining DMC for this... I'd want any movie I paid full price to count as fulfillment otherwise it may be worth it for me to buy it on ebay at a higher cost.

It counted toward my commitment.

There's a scene where Natty and two other kids practice smoking in a bathroom, maybe that's a part of the problem.

Was that an enrollment order? I've noticed lesser priced titles will count as the 6th title you can get when signing up, but they don't typically count as commitment titles, but perhaps oz is one of the exceptions

2) It shouldn't count as a commitment after the original enrollment package as your 6th Selection, but EvilResident's post throws a monkey wrench into a blanket statement. Assuming you have other Disney's you want, at worst you;ll be able to order another item as a Commitment and throw the Exclusives into an order at a 40/50% discount so $12-15 each.

Curious -- it really shouldn't have by the rules (or past reports), but I'm glad it did for you. It will be interesting to see if anybody else reports that happening for them.

Some 24.95 titles have counted though usually they're specifically labelled or new release/preorders that are regularly 29.95 with $5 discount.

I've seen reports of some of the Ghiblis that were 29.95 that had their Regular price dropped permanently to 24.95 that still counted, but I assumed that was a temp glitch that the system just hadn't updated yet. This is the first I've seen of a title that started life as 24.95 that counted.
A year or two ago, I was able to get the Kim Possible DVD seasons to count as commitment titles. I was really surprised. No idea if they still do now though

If ordering 6 total initially, (or 7) in an enrollment order,
one of the titles will always count as a commitment fulfilled. The designation of which one does is pretty random at best, though it doesn't really matter which so long as 1 is counted

I know one will always count, I just thought it was the 6th you're allowed to choose for the discounted price, and not a random one from the order. Thanks for clarifying

No. I ordered my initial 4, and then I ordered RtO separately. I didn't really fully understand what was going on when I made the initial order... it ended up working out for me though.
