The current cheapest but not available anymore would be the amazon price glitch at 39.99.

Your next best bet is 2 weeks from now during the month long criterion barnes and noble sale where it will be 50% off.

furthermore, you will get it even cheaper if you are a BN member (10%), or if you use one of the many coupons available at the time (assuming they will be accepted) at 15 or 20%. and FINALLY, the CHEAPEST should be on the black friday weekend where there will be a 30% coupon. so this can be bought for something around the high 30's$$.

Yeah, i would just wait for the %50 off sale from Barnes & Noble for the Criterion sale in early November that's what i'm going to do and also pick-up BoyHood and Blood Simple too probably the only three i really want unless i come across something else to add on maybe.

I third B&N sale, especially if a member. While not all members seem to get them, I received two 20% off coupons in the mail. Recommended to use any coupons asap during the sale as last Criterion sale they played with coupons a lot and were not able to use some.

It's entirely possible that it was no glitch at all and very deliberate.

Drums up interest and sparks conversation during a small window and then the vast majority of the pre-orders end up being regular price.

...at least that's my theory.

Additional 30% off of the already existing 50%? Hard to believe.
