Amazon True Detective: Season 2 - $34.99 at Amazon

It's been there before, and might be lower, but this is the lowest ever now:

This thing's gotta get lower. Did it get better? I had to stop watching after 3 or 4 episodes.

Honestly, it'll never be better than the first...but I enjoyed it; especially Colin and Vince.

This will definitely be repackaged holiday time and be $9.99 at Best Buy just liek Season 1. I was able to get the digital, and I'm fine with that for this season. Good, but not as great as the first season by a long shot. Hope the HBO execs give Nic Pizzolatto more than a year to write a great story, as even one of the heads of HBO came out and said any dip in quality was them breathing down his next to fast track another season. I don't mind waiting years so long as Nic gets enough time to make another great story.

I'm good with a $10 price tag in November.

It really turned me off watching episode after episode hoping it would finally click.

This season was terrible, nothing like season one. Even $10 is too much for this imo.

Horrendously high. True Detective season 1 was dirt cheap for a long time at some foreign amazons like .de. There is no reason to justify that steep price tag.

Taken on its own merits it's pretty good; but as season two following one of the greatest seasons of television ever, it's a disappointment. But the second half of the season was significantly better than the first.

Even I think it should go lower. We get the price we deserve I guess.

Kind of...I did like the finale and how it ended and the final scene.

It wasn't terrible IMO its just that S1 was so damned amazing. S2 was disjointed and meandered quite a bit but in the end I did enjoy it. I thought McAdams and Farrell gave really great performances.

Just picked this up for C$13 or under U$10. I figure I'd probably get Season 3 and can't have a gap!

I've heard/read differing opinions on Season 2 but I can afford to gamble C$13. That's one (1) McDonalds combo meal . . . or about 8+ hours of entertainment.

A large burger + fries combo + 13% tax would easily be in that ballpark.

It's once a year treat kind of thing …

Now you've got me craving McD ...
