All the Souls...Except the Dead - any good?

Has it got a reversible sleeve: as it has the title 'All the Deceased...' instead on 88's site page.

EDIT: it has a reversible sleeve

I seriously need to watch it. It's been sitting on my watch pile for a while now.

Any news of another 2 for 15 offer on 88 titles from HMV at all?

The pickings were a bit slim when they last had one. Or maybe I caught the arse end of the offer.

Want to pick up Killer Crocodile 1 and 2, plus Beatrice Cenci and a few others.

Anthony Wong has a reputation of playing very slimy characters. I've seen him in maybe 40 films and thirty were very bad characters. I remember seeing him in Hard Boiled for the very first time, and was like "this guy knows how to play a villain!"

Either way, these films are not for everyone, and Ebola Syndrome is honestly a personal favorite film of mine. It's so ridiculous and over the top that it often feels more like a comedy than anything else.

Yeah, in response to this and the previous comment about him in Infernal Affairs, I think that a goal in general with IA was casting everyone against type. Most of the actors in that, with the main exception of Tony Leung, were playing something quite different from their standard roles up to that point.

I found a few (OOP?) limited editions on HMV earlier, very small stock remaining though.

The Violent Professionals
Story of Ricky
Erotic Ghost Story

There may well be others.

I check every week or so and a lot of the 88 HK Asia films on my list are still full price. I bit the bullet and bought Martial Club and Hero last week, so hopefully that means we'll get a sale soon

Same here, I must get around to watching it and Zeder. I watched Violence in a Womens Prison the day it arrived and was not impressed at all, dull and boring. I hope All the Souls is a little more lively.

Zeder is great. It's not at the level of The House with Laughing Windows, but it's pretty close, from what I remember.

Agreed. It is really dull and boring.

In all fairness, this one is much better! It's hilariously bad and has more WTF moments
