[Show spoiler]As mindless entertainment, they're OK timewasters but, as far as police procedurals go, they more like unintentionally funny comedies. These films are products of their time and all that but I just kept nodding my head and going "Yeah, that would never happen in real life" For instance, maybe in Italy, cops are allowed to slap suspects around and beat them up but, no. Lol. Sting operations were so poorly planned and executed that I couldn't stop wincing. There's just too many goofy moments and dialogue to genuinely enjoy these as serious action movies. Maybe that's part of their charm? Perhaps, but, personally, I prefer my crime films a bit more polished.

The PQ was nothing to write home about. I've never seen this film before so I don't know its home video history but most of film looked very soft and undefined here. I'm sure Cauldron used the best possible element for their release and did the best they could.

I agree with cloudnine. Convoy Busters is one the most boring of Merli's poliziotteschi. It's just meh and a poor measure of the genre.

Learned about the sad passing of Ruggero Deodato last night. People will always remember him for Cannibal Holocaust but he has a long long resume of great horror films and very likely even one coming from @CauldronFilms in 2023

I'll put it this way.. It's an Italian made slasher Gorefest in the spirit of the 80's slashers we all love, but with the Italian cheese twist. Not the best description, but I know you get the gist. Just think outdoors, camper teenagers and a killer loose. A F13 ripoff...Maybe..An American made film from the 80's like this you would be excited about, I assume. Now multiply that with the Italian rip-off twist they were famous for and you have this horror masterpiece. Plus...Hess is in it, so you know its bonkers.

We all need to be in.. They amazed us with Contraband out of the blue, then came Gates UHD. Hopefully Cauldron can pull another rabbit out of the hat again!! I'm sure there's a trailer on youtube or somewhere to watch. Check it out. You'll feel that slasher vibe I'm sure and be sold right away. Plus, it has Hess in it and he's crazy as usual..

Yeah, I saw this for the first time not long ago via Tubi and I liked it a lot. I'd definitely pick this one up if it comes to fruition.

Body Count has been said to be problematic with some kind of rights issue - not sure if that applies to just the US or if it's a worldwide situation. Probably another greedy producer thing.

Body Count is fun. It takes place in Colorado. Filmed in Italy. A part of Italy we don't typically see in movies. The joker in this movie is super obnoxious. Not enough Chuck Napier. Lots and lots of nudity. This is on Tubi actually in a pretty poor transfer.

WOW!! 3000 sold in what 2-3 weeks. Great news for Jesse and even better news for us fans of these great Fulci and genre classics. When these things sell out, these guys look to acquire more great films to put on blu or UHD!! Contraband and COTLD from Cauldron!! Awesome stuff!! Putting its name on the map of serious players in the game. Congrats guys. Keep the Fulci and other great films coming.

Good on them. Great to see things going well for them, and for physical media, especially at the higher price-point. Of course, this was the right title to promote like this. Now they just need to hit the master/encode/hdr out of the park.
