Apparently, Amazon is price matching Best Buy. As far as I can tell, this is the lowest price available.

Yes, I know this is currently posted in the Hot Deals bar above, but I posted it here for a couple of reasons. First, because I always want to encourage support of classic TV on BD. And, second, because I wanted to know if other people are planning on jumping on this.

This wasn't my favorite series from the 60s. I liked Bewitched more than Jeannie, and I would have preferred The Munsters, Gilligan's Island, Green Acres, and Get Smart to either of those two, but this is still one of the great TV shows of that era. And Larry Hagman and Bill Daly were pretty fantastic in this series.

I plan to buy this set...while being mindful of Mill Creek's sloppy quality control as immortalized in their initial release of That '70s Show.

I think he's referring more to how poorly encoded all of the episodes are considering each season is crammed across two disks

Plus season 6 had a screw up where the premiere was in PAL in the original complete series set (fixed on their Flashback Edition)

Even though this is not as much their fault, much of Red's Last Day and all of That 70s Musical was just cropped and upscaled SD footage, plus Celebration Day (season 5 finale), the season 7 finale, and season 8 premiere all used their edited syndicated versions rather than the FOX versions (not gonna get into the music issue since it's been discussed before)

Considering this is a Sony title and not Carsey-Werner (who're notorious for their poor handling of their catalog) this might actually be a decent set

No one in Mill Creek's quality control department caught that the word "episode" is misspelled as "epsidode" on the menu screen of every single disc in the set. It is a shining example of their attention to detail.

Someone in quality control should have caught this mistake; it's kinda their job after all. Hell, an automated spell check program should have caught the error.

All of that, too. The menu screen snafu was just the first indicator that more trouble awaited. We know going in that Mill Creek squeezes as much as they can on each disc to reduce their costs; that's a given with all of their releases.
