Watched last night:

It had been ages since I last saw this and had forgotten how good it was. Really liked that they took the time to set up the story and then continued to emphasize the characters, their development & interactions. One of the best films to come out of the MCU and a great intro for Cap.

3D was medium-to-strong throughout. There were even some pop-outs (gun barrels, Cap's shield).

No problem! It's coming from Athens, Greece, so if it's a bootleg I'll report him but I can't wait to view it!

After the 3D in Thor was a bit of a let down, better thaN Clash of the Titans, but this was a really good 3D image, with some really good pop-out but The Avengers has amazingly great 3D image! Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World do a good job in the 3D department, IM3 better than Thor 2, but I need to continue on the 3D with Captain America 2 soon

Recently got this in. Popped it in and watched the opening segment ,then noticed it didn't have subtitles. The 3D was excellent but had to switch over to the 2D version that did have subtitles to get the gist of the story. Loved it. Now I will have to go back over to watch the rest of the movie in the gloriously strong 3D to get the full impact of the viewing experience.

Default Sangaree

Terrific film! I forgot I had it but remembered after I watched Jivaro the other day. I think the Jivaro restoration looks better but Sangaree was a better movie IMO. Plus I would leap over 10 Rhonda Flemings for an Arlene Dahl. The barroom scene looks fantastic in 3D and all the other inside scenes looked terrific as well, demonstrating how effective 3D is even when there aren't any spaceships. It's hard to believe how old this is and it's funny to see Lamas running around without a shirt; he looks like a girl compared to the steroid freaks of today. It reminded of the Family Guy joke about the "in shape out of shape guy".

Many thanks once again to the folks at the 3D Film Archive for the excellent work restoring these classics. Hoping for many more.

Brazil Some goodies

A few titles were awaiting me upon return from vacation. The first two were from Amazon.de. The rest were from Brazil. It looks like I'll need another vacation to check them out.

Watched The Grinch and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Both movies looked gorgeous! Stunning 3D presentation on both, with strong layering and endless depth. Fantastic Beasts really pushed the 3D and it was easy to see how it was shot 3D in mind. Great conversion all the way! Shame about the missing frame breaking effects; those really looked cool in IMAX 3D...

True. Sanity.com.au does.

Total with shipping came to $28.70 USD (PayPal rate: 1 USD = 1.36013 AUD) or $39.03 AUD = Australian Dollars.

Looks like JB Hi-Fi will (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-...-world/379031/) but the UK one looks to be way less expensive, and includes a possible digital copy.
