I'm weak, I bought the Amazon exclusive when it was $100.

Any special reason no one has mentioned or talked about the stealth 4K Ultra HD Castle of Cagliostro announcement from the trailer Justin put together?

It has been mentioned, mainly in the Ultra HD forum section.

I did the same. It wasn't what I wanted to do, but I have been eyeing owning all of DBZ since the days when sellers on ebay would bootleg all of the DB franchise on homemade VCD and sell them for big bucks.

I figured I would watch it while running on a treadmill and upgrade to a better version if it became available for a reasonable price.

That would explain why I didn't notice anything; I don't usually look at the other subforums. Thanks for the link!

How long does Disco usually ship with their slipcovers? Is there a guaranteed period? I missed some stuff from poorness, but I'm a completionist punk.

That is true in general, but there are some kind of exceptions. I got Lupin Castle of Cagliostro from Hamilton Books earlier this year and there was no slip; I know from the haul thread pics others got it there the same way.

(It was $10 so I ain't complaining, and I'm ambivalent on slips anyway.)

5 centimeters per second also no long comes with a slip. Older the release the more changes of no slip. It's a gamble either way.

The Venus Wars I got from RS after it was listed out of print doesn't have one either; however I don't know if that ever had one.

It didn't. Some of their earlier titles never had one.

In slightly more recent releases (dont know the exact time frame) the slips have been put inside the shrinkwrap, so those sets will always come with slips. However older releases where slips were over the shrinkwrap, such as Night on the Galactic Railroad, 5 Centimeters Per Second and Castle of Cagliostro, do not always come with slips anymore. In particular the Night on the Galactic Railroad slip is rare to come by now.

Everything I've gotten had the slips inside the shrinkwrap, so I didn't know they used to be the other way; interesting to know.

Huh, when I got (I pre-ordered) Dr. Slump the Movies it didn't come with a slipcover. I guess it started later.

my twelve kingdoms order came with the slip cover in the shrinkwrap. The problem was that the slipcover was so tightly fit around the case that I couldn't get the bd case out of it lol. I had to take the slip case apart where it was glued and re glue it. first time for everything
