Just finished watching Only You and boy is this release better than the Japanese one. The color correction really did wonders and as Dragon78 pointed out it is the extended cut. Also, despite the slipcover being folded incorrectly (some of the spine picture spills over to the front cover), the packaging is really beautiful. Well worth the pickup.

My copy is still on its way to me along with the rest of my December TRSI order, but I'm curious to know how the extra scenes from the extended home video cut look. Did they use AstroRes on them?

Have we gotten a release date for movie 4 yet? Any news about movies 5 and 6?

I know they had some issues with chain of production causing delays on recent releases. So maybe they're just getting on top of that and establishing what they can realistically promise before setting more firm release dates? |

There's a mention in the credits of AstroRes being used, so presumably that's what they used. Watching it through without being familiar with which scenes were and weren't included on the Japanese blu-ray / theatrical cut, I didn't notice any obviously worse/different bits but I'm not sure what a more attentive eye would notice.

Hopefully with the remake coming out then the original series will get some more love as well.

I'm sure Crunchyroll will get it like everything else. I'd rather Discotek acquire the original and the reboot to keep things consistent but it might be out of their price range, being a relatively bigger new series and all. |

Plus, Viz getting it would actually be good exposure for Discotek’s releases of the older series. |

And I wouldn’t count Sentai out either, although I would hope they give this a dub. It’s absolutely bizarre that they didn’t dub RIN-NE. I would think it being a new series from the creator of InuYasha would be enough to warrant decent sales.

Feel the same about Rin-Ne, the lack of a dub was bizarre considering the history of Takahashi shows in the west. I'm still somewhat surprised it hasn't been one of the titles they since gone back and done a dub for, though the length of the series works against it I guess. Would love to see an Ocean dub for that series for peak nostalgia

Would Aniplex even let other companies bid for the reboot here in the states other than AoA? I feel like they'd release it themselves because of how popular it is over there, and I know they've been letting other companies do that for a while now, but for some reason this feels like an exception. Maybe I'm wrong. Tbh I hope that ends up happening.
