Target waits too long now to announce what their exclusive is on some of their releases. The other retailers announced their Shazam 2 exclusives weeks ago. The same thing happened with Black Adam. Since I don't care about 4K,I would of gotten this and their Black Adam exclusive over the steelbooks(which I do like).But they took too long and so I pre-ordered the steelbooks.

I've run into a case with Target before where I waited for an exclusive from them to go up and it never came and I couldn't get one of the other store exclusive offers that would of been my second choice because it had sold out by that point.Again,I like the steelbooks but they were my second choices but I was afraid to wait on them in case Target didn't do an exclusive and one I was interested in.In both cases, it turned out that they did but took too long to announce and show it.I know I can cancel the Shazam steelbook but I use gift cards and that can be a hassle plus I don't want to reward Target for being tardy.

I want to see if Target does an exclusive for The Super Mario Bros. movie. Both Best Buy and Walmart already announced theirs.In those cases,I didn't care for the steelbook and the Walmart packaging is cool but is too much of a space taker and looks like stacked disks. But I still want to see if and what Target has before i pre-order the standard version. But the way Target seems to move,it may be a few weeks before we know what their exclusive is,if they even have one.

I can’t justify the price they charge for exclusives and not have 4K.

You should do what I do - order things as they are announced and then cancel whichever you don’t want. Been burned too many times by not ordering.
