Someone over at Fandom received their set and said the subs appear to be from the R1 DVDs.

My package arrived today, and as i haven't seen any pictures yet in this thread, except for a link to fandompost, here are mine.

No ideal light conditions today. And also no purple carpet here

Very pleased with the sturdy box itself, not like you find a lot these days for other box sets and even the UK Miyazaki box set.

Hi, i noticed on the side of the box there is a lenticular peice stuck on the side with two stickers to hold it, it seems out of place cause the sticker overlaps the card. Is that part ment to be taken off.

I think that is the lenticular card, included with the set. The limited set only had 700 units, and I think that card had the unit number on it, like #001/700?

Yeah, who in their right mind would use some wild purple carpet for a background, anyway, lol...

I'm telling you the purple carpet has exploded! You should create a FB page for it(him/her?)

While I can't speak for StefaanD, Kimichi usually does a pretty good job of packaging very securely. I think I still have surplus bubble wrap from a few past orders.

Ok - refresh my memory, I've only had one shipment from KimchiDVD before, and I don't remember - A package sent via K Packet from them - is it just USPS that delivers it to the house, or someone else? I think my last one was just stuffed in my mailbox by USPS... The reason I'm asking, I will be away on my monthly business trip next W-F, so if it doesn't arrive by Tuesday, I want to make sure it gets held at the Post Office, or I gotta have a neighbor pull it off my front porch if it comes by some other carrier... Dang it, my travel for work always seem to be at the worst time, whenever I'm expecting a big ticket item like this or multiple packages in the mail... maybe I should just stop buying anime altogether, lol!!

I don't think Mangle is interested atm, but it definitely will get released in N.A eventually, since Manga and Bandai Entertainment both co-produced the show.

I do think the JP or KR sets are definitely worth splurging on though if you're a GitS fanatic, which many people are!

I'm not sure it will come out in HD in the US. Supposedly the rights have been costly for the Blu-ray version is some territories, and maybe the licensing costs to the US seem too high. Or at least if they would have to release a similarly priced set comparable to the KR one. At least there is an English friendly set.
