Incredible news. I was very close to splurging on that expensive Japanese Blu-ray which looked like it was sourced from a print. I hope better elements still exist, if they do then no doubt Rubenstein will have them.

The Night Flier next, or is that asking too much?

I have it and can confirm the Happinet is sourced from a print. It still looks better than any previous home video release, but yes let’s hope to god SS is going to do a new scan of the OCN.

Nice one! I'm very happy these two went to a worthy distributor. Very odd that Arrow didn't manage to get these two, as they've been constantly requested for years (especially since they lost the rights to Dawn of the Dead, and later on Day of the Dead as well).

As happy as I am about the upcoming releases of both Martin and Dawn of the Dead, I think I'm only going to get really excited once we get some firm details; transfer specs, extras, etc. Dawn of the Dead was announced weeks ago, and we still know nothing about the release other than it is coming.

Still, really fantastic news.

I only have When A Stranger Calls from them, but if that's any indication of Dawn and Martin's quality, I'll be pleased like you wouldn't believe!

They have a deal with Rubenstein (New Amsterdam Entertainment).

This is fantastic news, it's by far my favourite of Romero's films and I think it's still underappreciated. I hope that Second Sight go all out on the package.

If these releases come out anywhere close to fan expectations (and dauntingly massive they are, it probably won't be long before someone asks for an inclusion of the mythical 2.5 hour edit of Martin), Second Sight are poised to become the contender for best cult movie label of this year.

Never seen Martin. It have wanted to for a few years now, just waiting for a BD that’s easily obtained at a good price. Here it is.

Happy with the white box Arrow DotD. But I’d dip again especially if this is limited. I’d hate to lose one of my all time favourite films and not be able to get hold of a copy without selling a kidney. I’ll spend £15 to have a back up copy.

Shame they’re not going 4k as there’s a release out there so it’s possible

Oh, to see Martin for the first time. Just don't do it if you're already feeling down: Martin's a slash-wrists-level depressing movie.

Martin is a great psychological 'vampire' film. I always hated that bit, which I think was on the train? Slash, gush, etc.

I haven't seen this one for years but I remember liking it a lot. Definitely ordering this along with Dawn of course.

Strange that Arrow let the ball drop on these - too much focusing on lesser known titles or didn't bid enough?

I suspect they merely didn't bid enough and/or weren't willing to get UK and not US rights.
