Think I'll go with the standard version. While I like the movie I don't have the same level of love as I do for Dawn, which I had no problem splashing out the funds for the Ltd Edition 4k, tat included,
Can someone please tell me what tat means?

Guess I'm going to have to take a look at this LE before I get it. I might not want the extra stuff.

Tat is short for tattoo. But it could also mean a kind of junk sold by crafty Cockneys to unsuspecting tourists in central London.

Why it is used to mean a Limited Edition item: Because you pay a lot of money to get tatted, and it does not do anything except to show off that you have something on your skin.

Really? That's a bit odd. But okay.

To those who have bought from OrbitDVD before: If I bought a movie already released with a movie in preorder (This film) under the same order, do they ship the released film separately or do I have to wait until the preorder title comes out? Thanks in advance (Had no idea where I could post this question on the site so sorry about that).

any idea why Zavvi is asking 15 gbp more for the LE ? Second sight is not making it easy for us international customers.

Second Sight = no international shipping
Amazon = no international shipping
Zavvi = ask 55 gbp
Diabolik = horrible shipping + possible custom fees

Nope. Lateralspin is using a little knowledge to get to totally the wrong conclusion. We don't call them tat as anything remotely to do with tattoos, or that they are limited editions. We can them boxes of tat because of the extra tat they contain to bump up the price and make them seem more desirable than they really are.

Lateralspin was there when he mentioned souvenir shops, but then went off on a bizarre tangent.

The very top meaning here is the correct one. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/di...ry/english/tat

You can use tat to refer to ornaments, used goods, cheap clothes, or other items which you think are cheap and of bad quality.
[British, informal]
...souvenir shops selling an astounding variety of tat.
So basically, "boxes of tat" round these parts will be sets bloated with unnecessary and cheap to manufacture items like said art cards.

I didn't mind Zavvi paying the extra amount to ship to the U.S. I know that I'll receive it free of aggravation.

I just received a damaged Highlander LE boxset from them.

If you're in USA you should order it through Diabolik or Grindhouse, you'll receive a mint set.

Yeah, they're fine... until you have an issue and discover the joys of their CS.

It says right on the pre-order page that you have to wait for Martin to come in for everything to ship.

I figured it had to do with a lot of stuff being added. Thank you.

Your mileage may vary, I've been satisfied with their CS so far. Last time I had a serious issue they even went out of their way to make things right, contrary to my expectations.

This is a no-export-to-USA title like Dawn of The Dead. Same thing happened. When it's in-stock it'll have a message it won't ship to locations in the USA.

Some companies wouldn't ship Dawn to the U.S. but I purchased a set on Amazon.co.uk and they fulfilled it. Not sure what will happen with Martin but Amazon UK did ship the limited Dawn set to the U.S.

Do you remember if it was a third-party seller with ‘fulfillment’ by Amazon? I wonder if that made a difference?

It was likely a third party seller because back when it came out Amazon themselves refused to send to American addresses. Second Sight couldn't do it either, obviously. Martin's currently in the same boat because Rubenstein stipulations!

Amazon's thing is unrelated though. Does anyone think they'd really take any notice if a title was on a "do not sell to USA" basis?
