**MARTIN update**
We've been looking into additional source elements and have materials to inspect. Unfortunately the lockdowns have delayed this but we're hoping to pick up again soon. Release date is being held until we are more sure of the timing. Thanks for bearing with us.

Is it too much to hope that "additional elements and materials" might mean footage from the longer cut has somehow surfaced?

I think that's unlikely as it was stolen, I believe just means the elements are in poor shape so they're looking to find everything they can get, which is probably why Arrow declined to put out a Blu Ray and why the Japanese Blu is the re-framed Lionsgate version.

I think Arrow declining it had nothing to do with the elements but to do with the licencee's price

Second Sight stated last year that they were the scanning the “dupe neg” of the film. If that’s how it was shot, and that’s what they scanned, then what “additional elements” could there be?

I imagine that 2nd Sight's life has been all Dawn all the time, as is only right and proper. But have we heard any news about Martin?

Not sure if they would be able to licence it but it would make a nice extra.

I'm pretty sure there was an update a while back (on facebook perhaps) which showed them making location visits for Martin so they have definitely been working on extras. Of course, the fact that several key crew members worked on Martin and DOTD would be another reason to film the extras at the same time.

George A. Romero’s Restored Lost Film Is Ready for Release: ‘His Most Terrifying Movie’

Would be great to see this included as an extra on the Martin release. It is the only other film that Lincoln Maazell appeared in.

I'd rather have them take their time so that the end result is the best it can be than that the end product is a rush job.
