Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response back once you send in the pictures to RightStuf? I sent mine yesterday (06/02) but have yet to hear anything since.

Well, I just went though it, after 2 weeks and a few phone calls and Case emails I got a RA#....

I do not know if Iowa is run by a democrat or not, and therefore have the most restrictions on it's citizens..
( yes that is a real thing ) ...
But at some piont they have to stop using the "We're running at a reduced Staff" excuse

If my recent experience is anything to go by, it took over a week to get a reply about a damaged product and no answer whatsoever for a follow up question. And don't you dare email them more than once or you'll get a passive aggressive response about "reduced staff/Pandemic et cetera et cetera" like I did (and as BWBODDY has already pointed out).

I even felt compelled to send in a complaint about my dealings with Rightstuf CS.
The whole experience with them was a 180 from what it was the last time ( and all other times before that ) I had to return an item.

Just know they are going to pull "The short Staffed" bit on you, and think of a verbal game plan before calling.

And listen to what they say, they will try to pull some Customer Service double speak on you, ( she tried it on me )
and hope you just just "Oh Okay" and hang up.....
That CS double talk is what started the "conversation" that caused me to send in a CS complaint ...

I remember saying - what!?!.. That doesn't make any sense at all, and it doesn't answer the question I ask, etc, etc, etc....

Tomorrow marks a week since I reached out to customer service about the damage to my Mobile Fighter G Gundam Ultra Edition box set. I haven't heard so much as a peep from them so I sent a follow up email. I politely asked if they had received the pictures I took of the damage and what the current status of my case was. Hopefully that will get the ball rolling again.

On the plus side, when they do finally respond, you'll get to pay to ship it back and then probably wait ~2 more weeks for your replacement to arrive! ��

Been trying to figure out why some orders are shipping ,but others have been sitting for two weeks at least . One sat and as of yesterday the order that was fully in-stock is now all ,but one item out of stock .

Tried to call three times today well before the cut off times . Got you are caller number then after 15 minutes on hold the Captain Tylor we are sorry message right when I was next . Don’t trust leaving a message and them actually getting back right now .

Hopefully they can figure it out . Well if I can actually get a hold of someone . Hopefully everyone waiting on them to get back is able to get their issues figured out to .

I do not know your chosen shipping method

I do not know if this still stands true, but Media Mail can take up to 2 weeks (iirc) to ship out.
I have this memory of them saying something like every other Monday or Friday, they ship out Media Mail......

With any luck this is just a false memory brought on by some yet unknown childhood trauma

Normally I’d think that was the case ,but have had 3 other orders ship within the last two weeks and I thought I saw a pending charge for the order amount last week . In the past stuff like that typically meant their system flagged the order for some reason . I mean I’ve had it flag me for ordering to much one time . Usually gets fixed pretty quick without having to call ,but with their “reduced staff “ I think it’s best to call to make sure .

2 weeks is the norm for my RS orders. My most recent one is going to take 2 weeks from the date I placed the order. I've emailed them asking to cancel my two future preorders, I'll get them with Best Buy for cheaper and faster. I'm going to use RS for Aniplex orders or items that I can't find elsewhere from now on.

Just got off the phone . One thing went out of stock . Rest is reserved until it comes in .

If I heard right they are back to normal hours now . Hopefully that means they are back to full crew and things will start moving smoother now .

I like how they are STILL selling JAPANANIME DVD products and are not disclosing that they are very poor DVD-R ondemand copies with photo copy covers. I brought this up to them in January and was told they would look into it.

Welp, just got my Kuromukuro order in from Rigthstuf, and the first volume has a big crease along the top of the slipcover on the front (roughly 50% of it is creased). That's what you want to see when you plop down $120+ for a blu-ray. Rightstuf was so annoying to deal with last time I did an exchange for cosmetic damage that I'm going to try a full return/refund this time and just re-buy that one from RAC. I bet you that will be a better experience.

Kind of surprised to see so much negativity toward RS. Most collectors would swear by them only a couple of years ago.

3-5 years ago they were among my favorite retailers (not specifically anime retailers, just retailers in general). I get items with cosmetic damage way, way, way more often now, and their CS has gone from quick and easy to deal with to accusatory, difficult, and unbearably slow.

A lot can change over time. I've broken off two engagements in my lifetime. Man, I thought those girls were great when I put that ring on the finger. I definitely didn't think so when I asked that it be taken off. This is the metaphor that I have chosen, and I'm sticking with it... lol
