Did everyone still get those cardboard inserts that prevent items from moving around with their RS orders?

My partial shipment of two books and a CR LE was shipped in a box but had no cardboard inserts. They were only wrapped with brown paper around them with no other padding.

I think even smaller orders usually used to come with those inserts if the order comes in a box.

Just got 2 orders yesterday that both included them. Was the book big? Maybe it couldn't fit in the protector.

Nope, both were standard size Yen Press LN. The LE was Cowboy Bebop.

It seems to be somewhat random, I get some shipments with the carboard inserts, and some in the ninja boxes (remember when they had the ninjas printed on the inside flap?) Either way, they do pack either box well enough that nothing gets damaged, at least I haven't had any issues. When they wrap them with the brown paper for the ninja boxes, it's usually a ridiculous amount of turns around the items... I have nothing to complain about with either packing.

Mine was only about one turn around the items and no inserts, which is why I found it unusual.

Nothing damaged so no big deal as it is, just always worried about the looming threat of cost cuts with Crunchyroll in charge.

I guess the point of the Sentai weekly specials sale are the preorders and non bluray products because as far as instock blurays ... there's only 47 products available

SENTAI AND SECTION 23 FILMS ACCOUNTS

Distribution Solutions (DS) (a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliance Entertainment Corporation) will begin handling distribution of Blu-ray, and home entertainment products from the SENTAI® group ("SENTAI") effective April 3, 2023. SENTAI includes Sentai Filmworks and Section 23.

The following are details and dates for the transition.

• On Monday, April 3rd DS will assume sales order processing, distribution, operational, and back-office services for SENTAI products.
• DS sales staff will begin soliciting SENTAI new release titles starting with June 2023 releases to accounts they will manage.
• Starting with June 2023 new releases, pricing will shift to the DS pricing schedule, and terms will be under your current DS account. Catalog release pricing will remain unchanged.
• SENTAI releases will be included in all current RLJ/DS account vendor support programs.
• DS will begin accepting catalog orders (including June 2023 new release prebooks) starting April 3, 2023.
• If you utilize a wholesaler for your orders, please continue to use it until further notice
• You will be invoiced from Alliance Entertainment LLC
• Sentai/Section 23 title list transitioning to DS is included under a separate attachment
• For Direct Deposit / ACH, please ask your DS Sales / Support Team for account information

Before Funi bought out RS i had my Gundam SEED CE just wrapped up in a box with no insert was lucky it came to me in one piece.

Yes...I like this idea lol. They probably want bulk orders like 500 units per title haha.

I would be pretty interested in a distribution deal for discotek titles. Then we could buy them more then twice a year hopefully get faster shipping then an order taking a month and hopefully save some cash lol.


Sentai would be pretty hard to talk people into since we already can get stuff at really good prices every couple of months lol.

and if you are worried about having extra copies of things don't forget there are those of us who like to import some things some times
