Thanks! Your SVS is awesomely blended visually into the rest of your setup! Also, those posters of Tron: Legacy and the basketball player (not sure where it's from) look very 3D-like, as they were coming out from the wall to reach you.

As for the pictures Big Daddy posted, I can only hope that's the new design SVS is going to use for their new subwoofer so I can upgrade as soon as I can afford it.

No, that subwoofer is a DIY subwoofer that you can build by yourself. All the plans are available online.

This is another crazy subwoofer built by one of our members. There are a total of 8 drivers and two towers. He is probably arrested by now.

I'm sure it will easily outperform my previous subwoofers without a doubt and also hopefully give me that uncompromised feeling of absolute authority - scare even - when driven hard, without having to fear bottoming, port noise, distortion or any other setbacks. So, I made my mind and ordered a B-stock PB13-Ultra Piano Gloss Black (with the new Sledge amp) last week. It's still on its way and the wait feels like an eternity.

I've read some ~300 pages of this thread and enjoyed watching all of the pictures posted (looking nice guys!). I hope I can contribute some of my own once it's delivered!
Usually when comparing subs, people want the highest SPL, the best at getting low and talk about the sound quality...

I have SVS, and I don't mention how great the SPL is or talk about how low it measures, and I with a few other don't brag on the sound quality anymore.

Our new description of these guys is how they feel when they hit, not how good the sound is, but what it does too your chest.

The wife and I love'em, she enjoy watching movies just as much as I do, and when a good movie that has some great LFE, she just smiles.

I have gotten replies saying, why don’t I just get a buttkicker, I don’t need one, I have SVS!!!!

I prefer to stare at the beautiful piano gloss black finish of my beasts than talk about SPL's and Hz's.

With me buying replacements for my stolen subs, it took the longest and hardest time for me to decide if I should buy SVS.

I debated and debated with myself plenty of nights thinking about it.

It's obvious I made the right decision!!!!!!!

It was between something I heard before and could go listen to over and over, but I ended up giving something unknown to me a chance.

I was thinking of buying the Sunfire sub.

Once I decided on SVS, it was also tuff between buying one Ultra or two Plus. Can't really say I made the perfect one on that but I love what I have...

I think once I upgrade to the Sledge amp, it will make up for it.

Not sure about the PB12+ but with the Ultra after owning both Bash and Sledge amp versions I can honestly say I can't hear/feel any difference between the two. Folks at AVS claim they notice a difference at really high SPL's but I prefer to keep my hearing than venture into those ungodly SPL's.

It's at times, I feel it would be a waste of money to upgrade. Reason being, no matter the power of the amp, if your suppose to calibrate to 75db, buying a more powerful amp will only be turned down to that level anyway. I guess I would really only be upgrading to more headroom.

I have know idea why I said 75db, when I really have mine at 85db each... lol

Head room is nice but I don’t think you would hear much difference going from the bash 750 to the 1000. I think the speaker in the new pb-13 is 13.5” I could be wrong wasn’t the old one (bash amp) 13”? I know the pb12-plus was 12” and the new one I got is 12.5” (pb12-plus dsp)

The Ultra driver is exactly the same for both amp versions.

Those numbers, such as the 12.5 or 13.5 are not size as in 12 1/2 inch. I believe the .5 is the fifth version of that woofer.

So a 12" or a 13" is that size.

So do any of you svs owners use the Room-size compensation control? I have mine off cause I don’t really fully understand how it works. Even after reading though the manual I’m still left kind of lost. If you do use it and can give a small review how it helps your sound that would be cool thanks.
