How about Dead Man with Johnny Depp (1996). It's a black and white flick.

The Corndog Man

This movie is a little seen gem. It's unique to put it simply.
Also if you have Netflix it's a Watch Instantly or at least it was the last time I looked.

Oh two more that are Watch Instantly on Netflix that are unique and little seen film experiences....

Dear Wendy Jaime Bell stars in this flick about a pacifist boy who happens upon a gun.

Doggy Poo Okay this one is way out there. It's a short Korean cartoon around 34 minutes long. It's a bout an abandoned pile of Dog Poo sitting in the road searching for his meaning and purpose in life. Yeah it's out there and it's actually made for children based off a kids book I think. But I thought it was really odd and cool. Might not be every ones cup O' Tea thou.

True Romance (1993) - Any Tarantino fan knows this one, but a lot of people (myself included unfortunately) probably skipped out on it based on the title alone... great movie though
Good call on those two, I second those recommendations. I let a friend borrow my True Romance DVD last week, he couldn't believe he had never heard of/seen it before...

"Being There", Jerzy Kosinski's 1979 screen adaptation of his own novel. Hal Ashby directed.

It is the simple story of a very simple man. But the complications, implications, and consequences of his "being there" resulted in high drama for those around him, those who saw and heard him, and perhaps for the whole nation.

This movie is a 'must have' for any collection because it gets better each time you see it. You catch more detail, discover new levels of perspective and envelpoment with every viewing.

Best of all, "Being There" was released in BD February 3, 2009!

Loved Grand Canyon too.
Also, I know it's a bit cheesy but I can't wait for The Arrival on BD.
