I made a floating stand for the C2. It was on the floor on a couple different isolation risers, but bringing it up higher on the isolated platform made it amazing.

The subs are Mirage Prestige S-10's.

How are the subs? Do they get low enough? Do they bottom out?

The S-10's hit hard and have never bottomed out on me -- I'm only running them at 40% volume to hit the 75db calibration point. At 300 Watts Continuous, 1,200 Watts Dynamic Peak each (the FR = 23Hz-120Hz +/- 3dB), they have more than enough power. With the sound treatments in the room, they blend perfectly with the other speakers in the 9.2 system.

I just another look at Vann's. I cannot wait for the 28's to come down just a little more....

You sure have a giant space to fill with sound. With the C2 and 28's that would be challenging for an AVR.

Yeah the rosewood is certainty really nice looking. Some reason imageshack seems like it scaled down the quality even tho I told it not so some of the imgs don't look nearly as good as it should. Yea it's a big room to fill the ceiling is 20ft in that room since its all open with the look over balcony.

Great room pretsam, you really do need the Emotiva Amp to really make use of all that space.

The one thing holding me back on going with the C2 is my room is only 12 X 14. But I do have double doors leading to bedroom it makes room look larger.

Oh ya that amp would be put to great use! I'd have to get a new entertainment stand because I feel that one everything is on now is to small. I'd need something around 45" long.

How low do those things get? Are they gloss black or wood?

I dragged these whales into the house, unpacked them from the box, but they are sitting there in the living room with the bags still on. I am going to hook them up shortly and run them for a break-in period. So you won't be hearing any reviews probably until the weekend. But I will post pics!

They arrived safe and sound. The FedEx driver was a really nice guy - brought them into the garage for me. I left a nice compliment for him with FedEx's customer service.

Having different sizes and different brands of subs in a system is not a good thing. Each sub has different sounds and you would make a mess of your sound stage.

Yeah I know. I just went and ordered the C2 Center in Rosewood. I hope it comes out of Kentucky. If so I will have by Monday. If out of Montana I wont get till next Thursday or Friday the 13th.

I'll make sure it does.. lol.. They use a UPS warehouse it's 10min from me over in Hebron KY. Every time I order from them I have it the next day one sweet thing bout ordering off Vanns, I just get stuck paying tax. I hope you really like the C2, will sound great with it hooked up to a amp. The Rosewood is really sweet looking.

A little bit of bad new for me.. I only added one 15 to my cart.. But I caught it and called them and they fixed it.. Can't believe I did that. Anyways,they won't be shipped out til mon,so that means I won't get them til next thurs.. The center shipped,I'll have that fri. Honestly..I only have til the 12th or 15th to decide on the def techs,that's cutting pretty close unless they will extent the time a little. Those 28's are beautiful.. If I hadn't bought anything yet,I'd order those..But then I'd have to order the C2 and OMDR's..That's a lot of cash I can't spend right now.
