I also have astigmatism and both the Cinera V1 and Royole Moon couldn't correct for it. Thankfully I can use disposable contact lenses that work just fine.

It appears that the Edge Pro OLED screens have the required nits to support HDR as well. But so far, Cinera has not officially announced HDR support.

Cinera just released their stretch goals for the campaign.

Display HDR400 is a VESA standard that supports 8-bit image processing. My guess is that Cinera decided to forego 10-bit processing used for HDR10 and chose 8-bit instead.

Strange. The update on the Kickstarter page now shows "Android 9 or later" as the 900K stretch goal instead of "Android 10".

They were originally going to design the device with Android 7. Apparently, they want a stable Android OS. I get that, but Android 7 is way too old.

The android upgrade will be easily achieved imo, now another 350k to get HDR im not so sure. Hope it gets there, it would be icing on the cake.

The campaign has 30 more days to go before it ends, so I believe these goals can be achieved in that timeframe.

Wondering if one of the new stretch goals shouldn’t have included support for dts.
They only mention dolby so far.
Something like this begs to have DTS HEADPHONE:X and Dolby Atmos For Headphones For the full cinematic experience. And they using 4 drivers per ear makes it even more crucial to have the best possible audio experience.

This question was asked on their FB group, I can’t remember now the exact wording they said but it was a no to atmos.

They already reached the 1st stretch goal (currently at 920k) they will definitely hit #2 soon.

Edit:

stretch goals #1 and #2 have been reached ($1.025M currently), they need another $225K in 27 days to reach stretch #3 (HDR).

It's a shame they aren't doing a model without headphones. Or are they detachable?

The headphones are integrated. This is done for two reasons. To appeal to customers who plan to use them them on the go, and to distribute the weight of the product towards the head instead of the nose. Cinera determined that many (especially women) did not like the weight of the headset on the nose/face area.

Default Us$ 1,244,733

Only $5267 to reach the HDR goal
$255,267 to the input lag goal

15 days to go.
I hope it reaches both, I want to play games on it with less lag!

$1,250,160!

The HDR goal has been reached.

There's still 14 days left to reach the goal for a low latency HDMI chipset.

Some backers can't make up their minds.

There's also a lot of "normie" questions being peppered in the comments section recently.

It's attracting attention outside of the geek niche.

It's possible that there are many who earlier may not have considered supporting this project who are now having 2nd thoughts, along with a lot of questions and concerns.
