OK, I thought you had got rid of the 3000's. Yes definitely get another 4000 if you can. I wish I could fit two PB 4000's in my room.

Thats my fear with buying subs .. having to sell them .. it is a major PITA especially with the larger subs.

This update was more of a re-branding of an older product than a release of something completely new. A slight increase in amp power doesn't translate to any meaningful increase in output, so it would all depend on what the difference is between the old and new driver.

If I were a potential SVS customer, seems to make more sense to go with the 3000 series than the 2000 Pro, given the price increase.

Seems like they are going to get rid of metal grilles on future model updates since the pb2000 pros come with non metal ones.

Just picked up a pair of SB 2000 Pros for the back of my room replacing Def Tech Supercube IIs. I have about 5 ft behind the couch to back wall and wanted a pair of sealed 12s to add some punch to the room. A pair of Seaton Submersives handle the destruction in the front of the room so I am not lacking for power or frequency response. Both the Seatons and SVSs will each have their dedicated eq system. I will report back what these things can do after break in. And yes, I looked at the 3000 but am not a fan of metal grills and wanted to stick with 12s.

Last week my dual SVS PC-2000 Pro’s arrived replacing my dual 1K’s. I ran XT32 using the app. Limited correction to 500hz. DEQ on. What a difference. I didn’t realize how much room gain the 1K’s produced. The PC’s are far more accurate with amazing mid bass that the 1k’s struggled with.

I feel like I've asked this before somewhere in the past but right now I have 1 SB1000 in my room. My room is 10x12. Would a 2nd one be too much? Is it just going to smooth out peaks and nulls? what all would it do?

A 2nd sub should help out with some of the room challenges. A bass wave is a big one, and with a somewhat smaller room, you are potentially experiencing a couple of obstacles to overcome. Placement is still key with the 2nd one, and you should spend time dialing it in. Dr Floyd Toole, who pretty much wrote the book on the benefit of multiple subs, talks about benefits and the science behind it in the link below. On a side note, I actually got to hear his system that you see in the picture, which prompted me to approach my room differently, and I never looked back.
