Hey, new here. Big time Blu-ray collector. Hoping to get to 10 posts so I can post pics of my Home theater and Blu-ray collection.

Also, I need some help


I need to nab Night of the Living Dead, Flesheater, and the Day of the Dead remake on Blu-ray. Now, Amazon.com won't allow me to purchase them because they appearantley won't ship to Canada. Anyone got any advice on what I can do?.

I am posting this in this thread because for whatever reason my account is activated but I am unable to make my own threads.

The trading forum will also be open here (perhaps it's not until 10 posts, I can't recall) just do an "advanced search" for the titles you're looking for within the trade-forum, and I'm sure someone is selling at least NotLD or DotD.... Flesheater may be more obscure... I don't know, I actually didn't know that was on Blu-ray

Any of you bought the Studio Canal BR of Le Cercle Rouge, and is it worth upgrading from the Criterion DVD

Luckily I was able to nab Day remake & Flesheater via Amazon. Got NotlD coming now too since the seller will ship to Canada. I'm pumped!.

I did not, but Criterion is releasing Le Cercle Rouge on Blu-ray on April 12th, so at this point, you should at least wait to compare features and transfers from reviews.

Thanks for the tip Beta Man! Hopefully it'll be region free (i'm region B); in the meantime i'm going to continue the search for codes to unlock my machine...

err.... Criterion has region-A locked every release, so my best advice would be to start shopping for a nice region-free player now

Yeah - sucks huh. I emailed them to ask why, and it was all due to licensing in other countries. I think i've found two codes for the BR player. If they don't work, region-free player here i come!

Hey everyone, I joined up this morning and wanted to introduce myself. Basically I have been outside looking in when it comes to the site and finally decided to join up. I'm an Army Vet living in S.C with my wife and kids. I have been in love with movies since high school and finally broke down and purchased a blu-ray player last month. Because of this site my collection is growing steady lol. I also finally got rid of my horrid HTIB and pieced together a budget system I am proud of. It took an entire month of purchasing and returning items-the UPS guy hates me-but now I am satisfied. One day I want to tell everyone about my adventure, lol.

We all have to start somewhere...my little home theater is far from being top notch....but its sufficient enough for me and thats what matters. As long as you're happy with it

Yes indeed! I think I cried the first time I played Transformers lol. Never knew what I was missing, I thought my 10000000W Sony HTIB was the best out there, hahaha. I sold it to my sister in law for $20 lol. And you right, as long as your happy, that's all that matters.
