Yes, this is a very good place, trolls are rare here but they do pop up, after all it is the internets.

Great to hear that this place has a good reputation.

Just ordered my Sammy UN55C6500 and bought a MonsterPower HTS 950 to go along with it. Lots of great info on here and look to learn a lot.

Hello everyone.

Woke up this and for some reason started considering investing in BluRay. I've got a lot questions, though, I'm still unsure if I'm going ahead with it.

I had a massive DVD collection that was simply out of control. I had discs I never watched and was buying movies that I'd only watch once. So I did a massive clear out in 2008 and sold or gave to charity all of them, discovering in the process that I had three only four DVDs that I'd never part with - Gladiator, Curse of the Black Pearl, Mask of Zorro and Minority Report - and that each of these were either damaged or missing a disc.

Since then I've rebuilt my collection to movies I love and will rewatch. I bought an upscaling DVD player, but only in January did we get a HD TV (OUR FIRST WIDESCREEN TOO). Now with the smaller collection and the fantastic TV, I enjoy then 100 times more and even get to watch the extra features.

If I start on BluRay, I have no intention of going nuts like I did with DVD , but I am interested. Increased picture quality aside, the main draw that DTS seems more available than on DVD and I like the enhanced interactivity.

I look forward to discussing all this and learning more.

BTW, awesome website. I love that each region is separated and shows clearly what is available in each.

Off to see ROBIN HOOD now
