Still don't have the last one. I wish the companies that care: Diabolik, Grindhouse, etc., would carry these UK releases

Hopefully this means standard editions of seasons 8 and 22 are coming soon as well.

I've never had a problem with Zavvi sending to New York. They just send the item in an outer cardboard box. It's $68.99 on Zavvi not incl shipping, but Rarewaves has it for $60.99. I just ordered there for 65.98 incl shipping.

To the U.S.? Yikes, will avoid them. I can't believe Amazon UK still isn't shipping certain items internationally.

They finally opened up a bit to the EU, the entire thing has been such a mess...

This is available on Amazon UK to ship to US, it's £49.99 + £9.96 delivery to United States. It expensive according to conversion, 59.95 Pound sterling equals 72.41 United States Dollar.

Thanks. I wonder why they allow this one to ship to the U.S. but not season 22?

Interested in seeing The Lion restored, hopefully looks a lot better than the Lost in Time DVD release.

I haven't bothered with these sets because I have the DVDs but HD Hartnell is tempting, as this is one of my favourite eras of DR WHO

Peter Crocker, who does restoration work for these sets, confirmed on Twitter that The Lion was Vidfire'd this time, so I'm hoping it looks hugely better than it did previously.

You forgot to remove the VAT -- it's closer to £52+ local sales tax ($63 with current conversion). Plus of course the inevitable price drop pre-release to closer to £40 around release day like most of the rest of the series

Expensive -- maybe relatively I guess. The US release will be substantially cheaper like normal, but standard packaging and non native conversion

Wouldn’t expect much if any price drop on this as £50 seems the set price as both Amazon and HMV using it. Zavvi want more plus shipping on top.

This is also 9 discs (from pack shot) not 8 of previous releases plus you’ve got inflation kicking in. Both those easily explain an increase from £45 last time to £50.

How is it Amazon UK ships to US but won't to Australia?

Because of the tax rules your Government applies on imports.

Is also why many retailers now won’t ship to the U.K. after similar was introduced here. For example JBHifi now blacklist U.K. addresses.

Good to see they have started on the black & white years now.
May be a couple years until I get this because I only buy the standard editions now so hopefully season 8 and 24 soon.

I'm guessing season 1 will be out end of next year for the 60th.
