Oh there will, Remembrance too for sure, but maybe it'll be a mixed approach like 26 where Survival didn't get one as the early edits had nothing of real significance.

I'm pretty sure there's more than enough for an extended Happiness Patrol as well. I'm not so sure about Greatest Show because the DVD only had (11 mins worth, so still quite a bit) of deleted material from episodes 1 and 3 - perhaps we'll get a slightly different approach and on a single disc we'll get a choice to watch all as broadcast or with extended 1&3.

As long as S2 gets here in the next few weeks - a nice early Christmas present to give ourselves.

Amazon might be e-mailing people to say 12th December delivery but it does say 5th December on the site, same as HMV.

I usually try to watch the stories in order, but once this arrives, I'm diving straight into The Dalek Invasion of Earth. One of my favourites so far.

I usually watch the interviews first, and any other new documentaries followed by Behind the Sofa and then I work through the stories. I think the William Russell interview will definitely be first up this time.

Fingers crossed that The Chase part 1 is uncut. I had a look at the episode on BritBox a few days ago and discovered that the Beatles are cut from there.

I assume that it will be modified for the US release. If I’m not mistaken the special feature Dr Who Times was cut for the US release of Season 12 - (Tom Baker Season 1 for all of you Stateside who are saddled with the silly naming of these sets), so it’s not unprecedented that there will be a different version in different markets.

I don’t want to have to repurchase a copy of The Chase on DVD to have an unedited copy of the episode.

The UK copy is 100% uncut.

A cut hasn't been mentioned for the US release either as yet.

My memory of the DVD range was that the team behind the DVDs were rather annoyed by fans kicking up a fuss as they believe it would have went through uncut if it hadn't been highlighted pre-release.

Have you seen anything which confirms that it’s uncut - I’ve been looking for details but can’t find anything online.

That ties in with what I’ve read about the US DVD release.

One weird issue with the DVD of The Chase was they darkened a film clip of a Dalek to match the VT footage - to be fair, this is the sort of thing I always about blu-rays NOT doing - and it just looked odd, not least because the production subtitles highlighted the lack of the dark filter!

Yes, it has been confirmed by somebody on Twitter is it uncut.

Also the shot of the Dalek in The Chase is graded the same as it was on DVD.

Rarewaves have emailed that my order has been dispatched. Whether that means actually left them or just ready to leave the warehouse (as I find many companies actually mean), I don't know, but since they use Royal Mail 2nd Class, it could take a while to arrive anyway!

I have an order from HMV (48hr Tracked) which was in the hands of RM on Wednesday 23rd, which reached the Mail Centre just over a mile from here on Saturday 26th but has still not been forwarded to my Delivery Office (almost the same distance from me) 4 days later. Strikes, don't you just love them?

Then again, an order from Amazon Italy has apparently been in Milton Keynes for 6 days now and is supposedly to be delivered by dpd (though Amazon UK said that about another order and it was Evri/Hermes who delivered, so who knows?), so that shouldn't be strike related unless couriers are busier as a result.

I have the same problem with an order from HMV, don’t expect it to move until tomorrow. Hopefully the Season 2 box set will be processed today and will miss the effects of the strikes. I’m away at the end of next week and over the weekend so I was hoping to get it Monday so I can start to dig into it before I’m away.

My HMV order will turn up when it turns up. It's not like I haven't got plenty else to watch (including a few Who Collection sets I still haven't started).

My Amazon UK order to the US is now in Preparing for Dispatch status. Hoping it may ship by the time I wake up tomorrow! Also hoping they get the shipping right this time, since they've sent my last couple orders via standard shipping rather than Global Priority.

I thought it had happened to someone else, but did you ever get a resolution or explanation.

I ordered 4 items with Priority Shipping including the LE set a month ago. First 3 items shipped in 2 packages and both sent Standard. They arrived 2+ weeks later most in OK shape at least though some damage to the covers, but Amazon CSR basically said "We're sorry" and offered neither an explanation nor refund even when I pressed them on the £10-15 surcharge ( think it was 32 instead of 18-19.

If S2 ships Standard I think I'll try again and press the issue a bit harder and escalate to a supervisor or above if needed.

This has happened to me 3-4 times and every time, I've gotten a full refund of the shipping costs (via online customer service chat) because they didn't send using the method I paid for. At least one of those times, I was told something like "We can't control how quickly a parcel arrives once shipped" which I fully agree with, but I always point them to the link below, which specifically says that Global Priority shipping to all 50 US states takes 2-4 days, so taking more than that is a failure on the part of Amazon (especially in my case as it's never been "carrier delays" but rather them sending through standard shipping means). Definitely worth doing a chat with them if it happens to you again!

I did the chat when the first items were shipped and showed Geodis -- i even waited 8 business days just to make sure that Geodis hadn't gained some sort of faster speed. Ran into a Brick wall on first chat, but after the final item goes out I'll contact them again if it goes out Std.

You haven't even been able to order S2 with Priority for a couple weeks.

Yes, I've always had to wait until the item arrived to actually get the shipping refunded, but it's worked every time. While it's nice to pay less for the sets (especially with the price of Global Priority), I honestly would prefer Amazon to ship it the way I ordered it! I'm happy to pay the premium for shipping, especially when it truly comes in that 2-3 day window. Keeping my fingers crossed!
