No. Then they'd just have a single one compared to 5, 3, and 3

The Eagles success this season is probably going to come down to Michael Vick staying healthy. They definately have the talent to beat anyone. They're making all the right moves so far. I'm just not sure Vick can stay healthy a full season. And somehow I don't see a backup Vince Young driving that team to a Super Bowl.

I don't think Vick is going to have the year he had last year this year. Teams were starting to figure him and the Eagles out late last season. They are a big play quick strike team but if they don't score that way they struggle. The Cowboys figured this out 2 years ago and other teams figured out late last year. The Eagles are also putting way too much pressure on themselves by being anointed THE team to beat and they have a coach and players that I don't think can handle that type of pressure. The last team I can remeber that won by signing big name free agents was the 94 Niners. However that team had the coach and a lot of it's players that had won a Super Bowl before. The Eagles don't have that kind of experience to fall back on.

Teams that stockpile on mercenaries don't always do well, look at this year's Heat, also in your team's case that year they bought up Deion and all those other free agents.

Wonder what a lot of these typically low-spending teams are doing. Teams like Tampa Bay still seem to be doing very little when they need to spend a lot more to get to the new required payroll minimum.

Yeah, they didn't do well at all. They only went to the NBA Finals in their first year together.

NFL Flashback: Anyone happen to remember I wanna say maybe 8-10 years ago the end of a Detroit Lions game where they were driving down field to get into FG Position, and did, but the WR who caught the ball got greedy and instead of going out of bounds, got tackled inbounds and there was no time outs left for the Lions and they lost the game... Who was that WR?

Edit: My Bad - I found the answer and the Lions lost by 5 to the Vikings -- but that WR's name - Germane Crowell

just realized that Manning is making like 1 million per game or if you want 250k per quarter which amounts to about 30-45 minutes of being on the field (real life time)

That rule doesn't kick in until 2013.. So those teams dont have to hit the floor for another few years...

As someone else said, the Heat made the finals. They were a few games away from a championship and that is doing well. The difference between the Eagles and the Redskins is that the Redskins overpay a bunch of players to try to become a good team quickly. The Eagles were already one of the elite teams in the NFC before these signings so it is not the same thing. As long as this team doesn't have any major injuries, I would be shocked if they didn't do well. I think Young is capable of winning games on this team if Vick goes down for a few games as long as those games aren't in the playoffs. He is just as capable if not more capable than Kolb if you ask me.

Vikings signed former Falcons wide receiver Michael Jenkins to a 3 year contract, not bad.....
