Universum Anime will be releasing Vol. 1 of Violet Evergarden on the 10th August according to this Amazon listing

Well, I just ordered Vampire Hunter D. Bloodlust from AllTheAnime as I did not want to chance missing the Collector's Edition.
I realize that 80% of their releases end up also on Amazon.uk but that's not the same as 100%, so not gonna roll the dice.
The price is GREAT, only 20 quid, but the shipping, my gawd, the shipping...
So, I spent almost an hour looking through the rest of the catalogue to toss some goodies in the basket to dampen the shipping sting.
Either everything I liked was cheaper on Amazon or sold out.

Finally selected "Martian Successor Nadesico" Coll ed. that I got cheaper than anywhere else was offering.
I'm loving Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star so I think I'll enjoy this as well.

Vampire Hunter D. Bloodlust (CE) and Martian Successor Nadesico arrived today from AtA in a very sturdy and well packaged box.
Both are beautiful sets, with VHD in a hard slipbox (as of course is MSN).
Very happy with this purchase.

edit: I use IMdb to annotate my Excl chart I use for my film database. While looking up VHD Bloodlust, I see mention of a show titled "Vampire Hunter D. Resurrection" but zero info wrt it's status.
I'd be curious to discover, what you esteemed folk know of it?

Discotek Media has a panel today at Momocon at 7PM EST. Looks like they will be announcing future titles, including 4 license rescues.

I think the only older releases that I can reasonably hope for are Dangaioh on blu, Darkstalkers on blu, Wicked City on blu, and anything UFO Robo Grendizer.

Macross is out. An uncut Gunbuster is out. Berserk on blu is out. An original dub Vampire Hunter D is out. A Japanese dub VHD Bloodlust is out. An uncut, Japanese dub Highlander Vengeance is out. Lensman is out. And Daft Punk's Interstella 5555: The 5tory Of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem on blu is more than definitely out.

Justin said he was working on an SD BD with an INSANE amount of content. Something like 150 episodes or so... I can't find his exact Tweet, but I would not be surprised to see more awesome SD BDs.

Hmm, it's probably Go Nagai stuff since they've got the Mazinger and Great Mazinger properties already. That's why I'm hopeful that Grendizer will get a release, since it's the best of the three giant robot series imo
