Sentai Filmworks announced on Monday that it has licensed the anime adaptation of Koi's Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka? (Is the order a rabbit?) manga. The company plans to release the series on home video.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as it airs in Japan.

In the four-panel manga, the main character Cocoa (a pun of “hot cocoa”) arrives at the cafe Rabbit House one day, excited for rabbits. She actually all but lives in that café. She meets lots of different girls there, including a tiny and cool girl named Chino (from “cappucino”), a tough and soldier-esque girl named Rize (“Thé des Alizés” tea), a spacey and quintessentially Japanese girl named Chiya (“Uji matcha” tea), and the ordinary but dignified Sharo (“Kilimanjaro” coffee).

Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Angel Beats!, The Devil is a Part-Timer! episode director) will be directing the anime at the studio White Fox (Steins;Gate, The Devil is a Part-Timer!). Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Hetalia The Beautiful World, Miss Monochrome, Walkure Romanze) is in charge of the series scripts. Yousuke Okuda (Sword Art Online, Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home animation director) is designing the characters. The singing unit Petit Rabbit's, composed of the main cast, is performing the opening theme song "Daydream Café."

I don't know if this has been previously reported, but bad news for those waiting for the Blu-ray release for Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. It looks like Sentai Filmworks has canceled the Blu-ray release for Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. Their official press release, as relayed by Robert's Anime Corner Store:

Quote:
HOUSTON, April 7, 2014 – Recently, our May 2014 release schedule was announced, which included the highly anticipated release of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Season 1. We’ve been keeping an eye on fan comments through our social media channels, and while we indicated a subtitle only release, due to the overwhelming demand from fans of the series, we have decided to release a Limited Edition Numbered Premium Box Set later this year which will include an all new English language track and both a Blu-ray and DVD version of the show. The current May release of this title will be a DVD subtitled-only offering.

Well it just means no Subtitled-only Blu-ray and that we have to wait to wait longer while DVD will go both Subtitled only and Dual-Audio. Plus there will be a standard Blu-ray release as well of the Dual-Audio version.

At least we don't have to worry about Sentai cramming the whole season on a single Blu-ray disc like they have started to do with Subtitled only releases on Blu-ray.

This isn't the first time that a Blu-ray anime release has either been canceled or delayed, while the DVD release went forward. But, the way Sentai and Media Blasters works, they tend to cancel those releases outright.

I'm just shocked at Sentai Filmworks though. They used to do a better job when they were under the ADV Films banner. They just haven't recouped the decent reputation they had back when they were ADV Films.

mad, did you even read my post, or did you just post blindly? I said, and I quote, as you quoted my post, "I don't know if this has been previously reported". Now, just what do you think that means? That would imply that I did not know someone had posted about it and that I'm not about to roll through 20 days of posted messages looking for one message.

Or you could just use the "search this thread" function and find out within thirty seconds.

Seriously kemcha you do this all the time in every thread you post in. Yes I read your post just like you ask me everytime I post a reply to one of your posts. Frankly I'm sick and tired of your posting habits. I'm a firm believer in not putting anyone on my ignore list on this site so I don't miss anything important being posted but you contribute barely anything to the site. For now you'll stay off that ignore list but it's getting close.

North American distributor Discotek Media announced on Monday that it will release the Chi's Sweet Home television anime and its sequel, Chi's New Address. According to the company, both are "coming soon."

Kanata Konami's original Chi's Sweet Home manga centers around a kitten who gets lost after walking out into the real world for the first time. A boy named Yōhei Yamada discovers her, but the Yamada family's apartment building prohibits pets. After failing to find a new home, the Yamadas decide to defy the rules and raise Chi themselves. Most of Chi's coming-of-age stories revolve around the Yamadas or the cats, dogs, and the occasional rabbit that live in the neighborhood.

The manga has been running in Kodansha's Morning magazine since 2004, and the 11th compiled book volume shipped in Japan last week. Vertical is publishing the same volume in North America this August.

The first television series of two-minute anime shorts premiered in March of 2008, and the second anime series debuted in April 2009. The Crunchyroll website streamed the second television anime series as it aired in Japan. There was also an original animation DVD bundled with the seventh manga volume in 2010.

North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it has licensed the anime adaptation of the Blade & Soul MMORPG. The company plans to release the series on home video.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series into several territories as it airs in Japan.

Sentai Filmworks describes the story:

In a world where stunning beauty is menaced by evil, the up-and-coming Wind Empire struggles to defeat the empire of old and unite all races together in the dawning of a new age. Enter: Alka, a buxom, scantily-clad assassin looking to exact revenge for the death of her teacher, Hong. She's on the hunt for his killer, Jin Varrel, a demonic dame that kills without remorse. Nevertheless, they are a part of the same “Blade Clan,” and Alka feels conflicted and sympathetic, as they are essentially one-in-the-same. While on her valiant quest for vengeance, Alka comes across a peculiar trio of winsome warriors: Hazuki, Karen, and Roana, each possessing a unique set of assets of her own. Will they help Alka in her conquest… or do they have their own plan in mind? Adapted from the popular videogame with visual elements based on the work by distinguished manwha-style artist, Hyung-Tae Kim, this series combines martial arts-inspired combat and Qing Gong action for a thrill ride like no other.

Hiroshi Hamasaki (Steins;Gate, Texhnolyze) and Hiroshi Takeuchi (Bodacious Space Pirateschief animation director) will direct the anime at studio GONZO from scripts by Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Pokémon XY). Eri Nagata (Leviathan: The Last Defense, Psycho-Pass sub-character design) is adapting Hyung-Tae Kim's game character designs for animation and serving as chief animation director. LEGO BIG MORL is performing the anime's ending theme, “RAINBOW."

Mine is "Reserved for your Order" still. I don't know what it is with RS and my shipping address, but it always seems that even if I pre-order on the first day the titles become available, my copy always seems to be one of the last to ship out from the warehouse, usually days later than everyone else's.

Last week my Fuse: Memoirs of a Huntress released on Tuesday the 6th but RS didn't ship it out until the 9th, so I'm still waiting for it to get here... Ah, just checked the tracking, Fuse will be delivered today. coolness.

So...the preorders for those that were done months ago where shipped today. And those that did it at the last minute will be done when more come in. Their first partial shipping day was today for it and then the next one will be on the 26th. They should be getting more stock in a few days though.

The delay is because they have to arrange that horse-drawn buggy to deliver it to your part of the country.
