I'll give that a try. While the velvet tape reduces magnetic strength for the sake of damage prevention, it should be able to work thru the paper of the slip. I'll let you know.

The magnets in these tool holders are incredibly strong and heavy. You'd have to really want them to fall off to make that happen, they won't disengage on their own.

And no, no, it won't affect the discs. It's not a tape!

WOW!!! What a fantastic idea!

The thing that I like most about this whole concept is that you now have a permanent mosaic art display panel on your wall that you can change to your mood at any time! When my wife and I get a place of our own, I will consider doing this in our "media/theatre/entertainment room."

I'll say one thing right now though. It will likely just display my entire Marvel Universe steelbook collection most of the time!

Seriously though, I have always liked the idea, but I have zero wall space in y tiny room. games take up half and movies, TV, etc on the other half.....I need a bigger room!!

I have all of my steelbooks in the thin plastic blu-steels protective sleeves. Are the magnets strong enough to hold those, do you think?

New idea! Velcro tape the protective sleeves to the wall, and slide the Steelbooks in them.

If you do go this route, hust make sure to use industrial strength velcro tape just to be on the same side . I don't want to be blamed for any terrget steelboon mishaps

They are very thin plastic slipcover sleeves that are open on one side once folded and assembled. You slide the steelbook in and leave the spine on the open end of the sleeve. They are super nifty.

Stop what you are doing now - right now - straighten up that scott pilgrim steel and move the kickass 2 steel slightly to the left or somewhere a small kitten will probably die.

The text sizes on the spines are too inconsistent. I don't need to see "TAKEN" across the room. Showing the fronts keeps them in proportion. But the magnetic idea leaves you looking at magnetic bars and crooked steels.
