Tough question. This is just merely a guess, but the 2013 DVD probably uses same master as the BD and the image should be 1.85:1 anamorphic. The Manga DVD is 1.85:1 non-anamorphic and has a lot of edge enhancement iirc. At the very least the picture quality should be better than the Manga DVD, but if the DVD is better than the dnr'd to hell BD, I dunno.

Japanese BD uses the same master as the 2013 UK BD, but no English subtitles are included.

Steelbook looks nice, and was worth the double dip even though I'm not that into Steels. The booklet has a gallery for trading cards, calendars, and a few other pieces from merchandise. It's small but a nice little extra.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see a Steel for Tokyo Godfathers in December for the holiday season. I'm not sure if the decision for a Steelbook release for Millennium Actress would come from Eleven Arts or Shout Factory, but I feel like Shout would push for one.

Just need them to pick up Paprika.

I’ve never seen this and the local Best Buy has a few copies. Is this worth investing in as a blind buy that might hold its value for later resale?

I am not sure about holding value as Movies are hard for me to judge that but its a good movie a little trippy but good I would recommend it.

GKids steelbook haven't gained value from what I've seen so far, they seem to make big production runs, you'd probably lose a couple dollars on a resell. Just my observation and being wrong is nothing new for me

Your best bet would be to wait until it goes out of stock for a couple of weeks and sell it then if you're wanting to make a quick buck. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke were OOS for a little while and people were paying $40 to $50 for it on eBay.

Does anyone know why the UPC for the madhouse version leads to anime limited?
It looks like the anime limited one except it says film and madhouse on the front cover in addition to what the anime limited one has.

Just to note, the UK does not use UPCs, they use EANs which are 13 digits instead of 12.
