First post here. Does anyone have covers for the first 5 Harry Potter films? I got screwed buying the stupid box set and really despise the cases they come in. Thanks in advance.

Just so I know. Can anyone tell me what Sandman's real name or email is so I don't send him my stuff unknowingly.

I know you don't want to get into it, but what is the best way to avoid this sandman creature that snatches covers?

Been on vacation for the past two weeks or so. dv8 comes back and all the sudden this thread has loads of life (not that he was the only one posting new covers).

I will get the list updated as soon as I can. Have some other things to take care of first, since I just got back from vacation.

That's amazing
(not to sound ungrateful but why dose the front cover look blotchy?)

Thanks again

Unfortunately, Photobucket (and I think Imageshack too) has a 1 MB file size limit. I can only use them to host the preview pics. That cover is just north of 63 MB for the actual file.

Why is the cover 63 MB? is it a JPG? Most JPG covers are between 2-6 MB at 300dpi. That seems quite large for a cover!

it's a .tiff (at 600 dpi) I don't like the way .jpg compresses it. Loses too much fine definition.

600 dpi is pretty unnecessary for a standard blu-ray cover.

yeah probably, but some day I may have to zoom in on something and then where will I be?

Yeah I realize it's excessive, but that's just the way I am.

If it makes people feel better, I put it in a .jpg at 2.8 MB.
Still too big for photobucket, but not ridiculously huge anymore.

When I was starting to look at making covers, I tried the tiff thing too, but the difference in the quality of the cover will never be noticed at the size that we are printing at. I couldn't tell at all. And most people don't much look at their covers from 2 inches away ever, so as long as it is a print-quality, 300dpi, jpg image, there shouldn't be any issues.

If it's your preference to use tiff, then go ahead, just putting in my two cents.

yeah I may start using jpg at 300 dpi. I've only really done stuff for myself previously so I just kept things the way I kept things. It's probably a lot easier for people to move around 2-3 MBs than it is 63.

I appreciate all the advice, thanks!

Anybody got this cover? I don't think swarez has been on recently...I tried PMing like he asked but no luck so far.

Thanks!

Edit: Swarez, I saw your recent post and rest assured, I'm NOT "sandman" if you are concerned about that...lol. I usually get all my covers/labels (at a cost) from customaniacs. But I like this better than any I've seen there - or anywhere else for that matter.
