So true, been through this sort of thing before as well. They are truly a $*** show, especially for being one of the largest companies in the world. Your order will never truly be cancelled, best to just get it and take it back to a store when IW doesn't work or something like that.

I've got their return process down, I start the return on my phone through their app, then all I have to do is scan the QR code (like Walmart pay), give them the movie (they sometimes look at it to see if it's been opened, most of the time they don't even care to check it), and then they put my balance on a Walmart gift card (I always use Paypal on Walmart's site).

Any issues asking for a WM gift card or cash? Because I don't trust them to properly refund my PayPal.

On the ones they marked returned I was only charged for the replacement and when something is marked returned I don't see how you can return it so I kept it. Now the thing is having been through this several times I go to the chat to try to make sure an item is truly going to be canceled though there was one I had trouble with getting so I tried to have them just cancel it which they told me they would but I kept pushing because of past experiences and they told me if I received it I can keep it for free which I wasn't expecting but fine, took some screencaps of that conversation in case I needed it for proof later on. They did try to charge me for that one but I fought it and got it for free, not sure if it was worth it for having to deal with them but it was what it was. So in the end I got Despicable Me 3 and double copies of The 5th Wave and The Osiris Child for free.

They don't refund to PayPal, they often put it directly onto a Wal-Mart gift card, sometimes they ask if I want a gift card or cash.

Yeah, they charge Paypal right away.

Sopranos is "set up" for Instawatch, but doesn't actually work. I don't think the UPC they've entered in for the series box set matches what they are selling. You might try to fight them on it, but odds are they'll give you the run around and lie saying they don't offer it for that show.

I still haven't gotten IW for Overlord 4K. I put in a cancellation request but if I still get it, I'll just return it in store. Maybe since I bought it with something else, it broke my IW redemption or something. I usually wait until release day and order if my store doesn't get them in, but since they were both "early access" on Vudu I thought they'd both work but for some reason they didn't. Oh well. I ordered The Sopranos series at Walmart, and didn't receive Instawatch. I figure it was included since somebody had previously posted that it was Instawatch available. Luckily I used site-to-store so I'm not going to deal with the hassle of returning disc media. I'm going to let the order expire until they send it back and issue a refund.

I just don't get it. I ordered Overlord 4k like 24hrs ago and nothing. I want to cancel and reorder, but I would still have to return the movie to the store. And then if I got an instawatch on the second order they would probably take that away from me when i returned the first disc. This has happened to me twice!
So annoying that it works for some, but not for all.

Just so you know, writing HBO for any series that has digital codes, they will send you one even if you bought the series before digital age like the first season of Game of Thrones.

My Sopranos order shipped, even though I requested cancellation. On top of that, it doesn't arrive until Tuesday despite me ordering with the promise of two-day Saturday delivery.

Amazon isn't perfect, but cancellations there generally work and their dates are generally accurate or better. (There are exceptions, but it's night and day compared to Walmart.com.) It's amazing how bad Walmart is at this whole internet thing. I'm actually astounded.

Walmart's shipping estimates are usually off, you might still get it Monday. But yes, their website is pure garbage and their inability to cancel orders is ridiculous. I've made several comments to their customer support that they'd "pass on to their supervisors" but obviously nothing is going to change.

It's ridiculous. I guess I'll stick to ordering food and other basics from them.

Then again, they recently sent me a three-pack of granola bars that was set expire in less than a month (we're talking 36 bars) - and their chat was pretty useless about resolving that issue too.

I asked them if they were going to enable uv for Strike Back season 5 since it came labeled as uv. They wrote back asking for a photo of the code and a piece of paper with my email address written on it, I threw in the actual blu-Ray case as well and they sent me a new code.
Figured I wasn't going to get anywhere with them so I put the code in my nephews account and that was that.
