I tried to rebuy it after a soft reset but still no code. When I explained the issue to the guy in electronics he said that Vudu is dead. I tried to explain that IW is dead not Vudu but you can guess how that went over.

I ended up returning it right after the transaction.

*Finally got my issue fixed. It involved filing a case with Vudu, following up on the phone, and following up through the e-mail system a week later.

I've been informed by Vudu that IW was dead in addition to two different employees at Walmart. It seems to still work for select older titles though.

Movies that had IW before should be fine. Anything after say July/August is pretty much dead. Vudu even said that they no longer have the ability to put IW movies into your account if anything goes wrong.

*This is different than the Vudu "extra" movies that come on the receipt.

3 months later I was finally able to secure a TMNT set and get IW, I wound up having to order it from the website, went in store and requested that they do a return and repurchase with the excuse that I used the wrong credit card, on top of that it seems to store purchase price has jumped to 30 instead of 25 but the guy just automatically matched it down to 25 beacause he saw my original receipt.

Paid an extra $0.70 in tax but worth it for the IW copy!

Thank you to those who posted and let me know that the TMNT set worked.

Not anymore. Vudu now links the titles to your account.

I would use the IW code for yourself and give the code sheet to the other person. That is how I did trades on here when buying movies at Wal-Mart.

I just bought Cloverfield 4K from Walmart (self checkout) and lo and behold it came with a digital version of the movie that was automatically deposited into "my Vudu account."

I say it like this because apparently I have a Vudu account based on my Walmart account's email address, which is a different email address than on my normal Vudu account. I don't remember creating this second account, so maybe it was created automatically?

I'm going to reach out to Vudu support to see if I can remove this second account and maybe link my real Vudu account to my Walmart account.

Were you successful in linking your real VUDU account to your Walmart account? I’m trying to do that now but Walmart.com customer service was no help and VUDU hasn’t responded yet.
