Well I got something, and it arrived today so that's a pretty damn quick turnaround! A Brighter Summer Day in mint condition, and Embrace of the Serpent still had the slip. Just over £20 well spent, I'd say!

That was the last of exposure cinema selling out their remaining copies on the cheap.

Short lived company that brought us two lang 50s noirs about 5 years ago on dvd.

Shame really.

I liked exposure I wonder who'll pick up the rights to the two lang titles.. They deserve a blu

I'd order it now - and lock in the price... you'll only be charged at dispatch anyway

Since they're still offering it for sale rather than listing it as not available at this time it's probable that they only picked up a small number of copies from the wholesaler/liquidator and underestimated demand and put in a second order that hasn't arrived yet, so it's still worth a punt.

Not quite "once in a lifetime opportunity", but there are 6 "Post Zoom Day" boxsets;

Bourne 5 film collection - £15
Everest/Steve Jobs/Wolf of Wall Street/Theory of Everything/Unbroken - £10
Fast and Furious 1-7 + Bonus Disc (Zoom Exclusive Limited Edition) - £20
The Witch/Crimson Peak/Maggie/The Visit/Unfriended - £10
Downton Abbey: The Complete Collection (s1-6) - £30
Star Trek: The Movies 1-10 - £30

(SIGNUP10 should take 10% off)

Free DVD selection (8 titles)

_____

EDIT: Just in case you remembered seeing a Bourne digibook style boxset, that was a 1-4 boxset with space to slot in film 5 disc. The £15 1-5 set is likely just a standard chunky 5 disc case.

Rewatched Crimson Peak recently. Beautiful set and costume design and a couple of good scenes, but overall a bit of a mess.

The Witch is brilliant though, one of the finest debuts I've seen in the last few years.

Saw Crimson Peak theatrically ...

I was disappointed at how self indulgent it was and how much it conformed to gothic cliches , was quite underwhelmed

I ordered the 2 film boxsets, £9 each with code. Everest to Unbroken, undoubtedly the better value set but the horror set I can save for October, 5 more options for my annual "Halloween Horror Month". I had been looking at getting "Maggie" which is £4-£5 used, so that plus at least 2 others I wanted to try made it worth it.

If I didn't already have a 6 film Fast set, I'd have probably ordered the Zoom exclusive 1-7 boxset.

It's also atrociously paced in places once it reaches Crimson Peak. The same script but a shorter, tighter running time could have helped sell the story much better but at its final length it just allows you too much room for your attention to start drifting off or pick holes in the plot. There's a reason the Corman Poe films it aspires to were all modestly budgeted 80-90 minute affairs.

Zoom Day wasn't anything special, but I ordered the Godfather box set for £9.00 and got a free DVD to go with it. To my surprise postage to Europe was free.
