Hey fellow members. Wasnt sure if i could post this or not for certain reasons. But i was wondering if you folks have the special artistic talents to make cool custom cover artwork for the new Blu-Ray format? Maybe you know sites from the US or elsewhere in the world where someone has a site displaying some customs? Maybe you could post pictures in this thread of the cool customs you come across online. Due to the character limit per post, I have split this up into multiple posts. I am providing a link to each individual post. Currently these split posts are at (what was at the time) the end of this thread, hopefully an alternate solution will be found once the list is completed to put them at the top of the thread or in their own thread that cannot be replied to. I apologize for the slight inconvenience.

This thread has evolved over time, originally it was a 'what would you like to see on blu' thread and people posted potential blu-ray releases with cover art on fake blu-ray cases. Slowly the thread matured and was merged with others (I believe) to create what is now a place to post legitimate custom covers that can be used to replace the cover that comes with your blu-ray purchase. The thread is quite long so bear with me as I go through it all and organize it. Some of the earlier posters may not have full fledged replacement covers, please feel free to ask in this thread (the person may still be around and checking in on this thread) or PM the user associated with the desired case cover. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience caused during the organizational process of this list but it is a large task and will take some time.

Bump for this thread . . . I know a lot of people are disappointed in a lot of the cover art out there, and some people need cover art for stuff they've bought in box sets that they'd like to convert to single cases (Die Hard) . . . there's a good thread for custom art on AVS, but I figured I'd bump this to see if any of the Blu-ray.com photoshop guys have anything to add.

As I always did custom Spines for my DVDs, so that my shelves would look more uniform (and better), with Blu-Rays I've started to make whole custom covers.

I just hated having "holographic" spines (Total Recall, Stargate), all the different colors and that every publisher had their own grand idea how the spine should be arranged. Also a lot of the cover space has been wasted on the "swoosh" and banners promoting that this is HD material.

Here is preview of few of my custom covers:

All these covers have been composed from images and elements found from the internet and they were designed for my personal use, so they may have elements from posters, dvd covers, other custom covers, promo pictures etcetc.

Currently I'm bit behind on "cover production" as amazon's been having those lovely Blu-Ray sales. So there is quite a big "to do" pile waiting for me.

Wow, that's all pretty bad from a technical stance.

The D&D one is completely distorted. The Alien one has really jagged edges around the monster and the black does not blend at all with the title. The Star Wars one has the image cropped too far down. It looks very unbalanced with the positioning.
