I never engaged Robert in the decision process, and having managed a commission environment for about 15 years, I can see through most of the strategies and tactics, but at the same time appreciate when someone is good at it. Side note, my wife will never step foot into a car dealership with me when buying a car, because I play that game very well. There are enough reviews and comments landing on either side of the fence between the two players, so it isn’t too difficult to find some leaning the Oppo way. I have also learned to not agonize about such a decision, as I could second guess with every review I find. Ultimately, I get to see what they do side by side (actually on top of each other) to see where I will land. Either way, still a damn fun way to spend an afternoon. |

Does not matter, if the title is a P&S of 1.85, 2.0 or 2.35 content. Several titles that I had in widescreen on DVD turned out to be P&S on Vudu so I stopped bothering with DVD2HD. There was a time where Vudu would allow one to see the first 2 minutes of a title. That option appears to be no more.

![]() Click here to see the HDD collection Stacey Spears has used to create just one UHD BD test disc. Read the thread where he talks about the difficulty getting content on disc without artifacts. And that is using > 90 Mbps. |

Any Logitech Harmony users here. If so, you may want to check out this article. I only have a Harmony Hub that is used with Alexa so if it stopped working it would not be a big loss. Use URC remotes for all other remote uses.

I just use separate remotes, you tend to be more active reaching for more then one.

Vudu HDX streams at about 5-7 Mbps (audio/video bitrate) on average with 9 Mbps being their maximum audio/video bitrate and that is nowhere near to a blu-ray disc which often averages around 30 Mbps (audio/video bitrate) with a maximum audio/video bitrate of 48 Mbps (40 Mbps maximum for video alone).
"BD Video movies have a maximum data transfer rate of 54 Mbit/s, a maximum AV bitrate of 48 Mbit/s (for both audio and video data), and a maximum video bit rate of 40 Mbit/s." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray#Bit_rate Mbit/s = Mbps https://www.thefreedictionary.com/Mbit%2Fs Last edited by Vilya; 12-29-2020 at 07:55 PM. |
